I go round in circles about renting. I looked at a room near work - 250 quid less than here, but no pets, not much more freedom. And renting a flat would be hugely expensive and mean maybe 200 a month savings - how would I pay for the vets or the dog insurance?
I would need to live nearby and in any case it is all expensive even if I moved near work etc.
I do think about it tho. Tired now.
Going to nap. XXXNevertheless she persisted.0 -
It's far to easy to think of reasons why you shouldn't but focus on the reasons why you should.
Make a pros and cons list and then work out how to make the cons swap into the pros column. Every negative can be turned round."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
It’s a tough one Buffster. You need your own space but can’t imagine you without your pets. Mmm .....
I suppose buying is out of the question?
Take care xxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
I think...... What do I think?
Honestly I have committed to buying a house on my own somewhere in the UK (!) but yes I have allowed family to get in the way - all the best intentions but you do what you think is right at the time. I think in the next 18 months I could buy up by my friend. It has been a bit of a dream of mine for a while. IF I go and rent I won't be able to save much at all. That frightens me. I have struggled to save and I am reluctant to put myself in a position that means I can't.
That said this last few days (until today and yesterday) has been tough and I would have loved to go to a hotel room and run away.
I have spent the last two days in the garden fixing up the rabbit enclosure which has been a disaster but I kept at it and I am proud of myself for that. It was good to "DO" something that was solely for me (well and the rabbits)
It is an on going think.
I ache from the rabbit house shenanigans. Bed soon!Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
Buying elsewhere would give you a plan... that sounds good. Would you need to rent it out, or could you pick somewhere you could go at weekends and think about shifting there in the long term? That could give you a bit of time off and a transition process.
Go you on rabbit stuff fixing!

I am watching Fleabag.... I don't know if I just don't get it, but honestly all I see is some poor desperate woman humiliating herself constantly. Also some bits are utterly sad, as in heartbreaking. Makes me feel super uncomfortable. Doesn't she have any friends. just not my thing at all. I just feel desperate for her. Plus she keeps one guinea pig on its own. Mean. Am I missing the point?
In other news the week has been a shocker but not for any particular reason other than I have been tired and not sleeping or eating well.
Need to sort that next week.
Busy weekend hopefully getting rid of loads. XXXNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Can you allocate an hour of your Saturday getting ready for next week?
