It says in T&C you will no longer receive the £5 blue reward cash if you open the RD saver. Is this correct? So in effect this saver costs £5 per month.littlemissbossy said:Barclays 5.12% up to £5k for existing current account customers (Blue Rewards)

I cannot find that in the T&C, I suspect you have misread this:anticlaus105 said:

- You won’t receive a monthly cash reward to your Blue Rewards Wallet for having a Rainy Day Saver account. Your existing monthly Blue Rewards aren’t affected and we’ll keep paying them into your Blue Rewards wallet

Barclays made changes to the Blue Rewards scheme which now make it a waste of time unless you also have a mortgage, loan, life insurance or house insurance with them.littlemissbossy said:Barclays 5.12% up to £5k for existing current account customers (Blue Rewards)

However - for those who don't and aren't current Blue Rewards members, provided you have at least £800 coming in plus two direct debits coming out of your current account each month to cover the £5/month fee, then this might make it worthwhile again.

Whilst not getting anything from the account I have kept the Blue Rewards switched on so this is a nice surprise. Account is opened in under a minute.3 -
Thanks. That's not so bad as I don't get anything above the monthly £5 anyway.0

Would be funny if Chase now went completely left field and offered 2.50%

Well Barclays with it's complicated charge £5 and get it back if you jump through hoops (2 x DDs & pay in £800 pm) will get them no more than a slot in the footnotes of ToTP...
And if the rubbish offer that has persisted for the last year means you'd abandoned it & haven't got access now, you'll be impressed with the hoops you need to jump through to even access, er.., the hoops you need to jump through...3 -
