Is it time to move from Zopa? Looking at Al Rayan... what's people experience with these? E.g withdrawal times etc
I'm giving Zopa till next Wednesday, otherwise I'm moving it all out. Al Rayan easy access now paying more than Zopa's 95 day boosted pot.
I've just applied for the Charter Savings Easy Access at 2.25% and am intending to move everything from Zopa.  Trouble is, I also have an ISA with Charter so I will be over my FSCS limit so will need to move it as a priority.  Tried to apply to transfer to Coventry BS Isa but keep getting "Internal Error".  Frustrating!
Why not Al Rayan which pays more, out of interest?
I’m using Charter as well as Al Rayan personally since I hit the £85k FSCS limit with Al Rayan.

Yes, good point.  I think it's just my reluctance to try something different (Expected profit Vs Interest)
Having said that, maybe it is time to change.  I think I will look into Al Rayan

As far as you are concerned, it's just a different word. Like when you look in a thesaurus.

Yes £1 test payment is fine.
Apply, get your account details and go to the app.
Select the second option, log in with account details.
    Something like that.
Then you are up and running same day, no waiting for details in the post.
  • What's the Al Rayan app like? Is it reliable, easy to use and has all account management features within it?

I'm a relative new comer to using banking apps as prefer to use my PC, but I find Al Rayan's quite straight forward and user friendly.

How long does it take for transfers to show within Al Rayan, and how long for withdrawals? How is this impacted by weekends? What’s the daily withdrawal limit? Opened the account easy enough. The app is quite vintage.

On reflection I am a bit concerned as their online reviews are appealing?

If their online reviews are appealing then you should be pleased.
Likewise, if their online reviews are appalling you should be concerned.
Tip, check your IOS predictive option before submitting your post.
