As I understand it's 6 withdrawals plus closure.
What is to stop you opening another account after closure?
What is to stop two of us operating two accounts to give 12 + 2 withdrawals?
You could open a rainy day account for two more too.

You can only hold one Loyalty Six Access eSaver or Loyalty Six Access Saver Issue 2 in your name. For joint accounts you can only be the Main Holder on one account but can be Other Holder on the second account. If you are named as Main Holder on more than one Loyalty Six Access eSaver account, the most recent account opened will be closed and the funds returned to you.

If you have closed your account with us within the last 12 months and transferred the money to a new account, unfortunately you cannot apply for the Loyalty Six Access eSaver. Please apply to your nearest branch or by post for the alternative product, the Loyalty Six Access Saver Issue 2.

    Maturity
On the first anniversary of your account opening, your savings will be transferred into an easy access account and you will have easy access to your funds. We will send to you the full details of the new product via email, at least 14 days prior to the maturity of this Loyalty Six Access eSaver.

Deposit now in Charter via Barclays and 2.23% showing for monthly interest.
How long did it take to show? Did you also get a pop up from Barclays when sending the money stating they’re doing further checks first and may contact you?
  • Al Rayan now showing 2.35%

Now that is a nice surprise to come home to after a day out

Closing and opening a new one may or may not work, so I am not going to chance it.

The rainy day one only pays the top rate on up to £5K, and 2 more withdrawals won't do it for me. I need one a month at the very least, but more likely half a dozen each month.

Their point is a couple can have one each. And a Rainy Day each. and assumes if they use up their w/ds, they close the account and open another... each.

    eta spilling lol

Well Barclays with it's complicated charge £5 and get it back if you jump through hoops (2 x DDs & pay in £800 pm) will get them no more than a slot in the footnotes of ToTP... and if the rubbish offer that has persisted for years means you'd abandoned it & haven't got access now, you'll be impressed with the hoops you need to jump through to even access, er.., the hoops you need to jump through...
Yes, it's probably not worth the effort for new customers (and hence only worthy of a mention rather than full inclusion on the list) but it's pretty-much a no-brainer for a Barclays current account holder like myself, who already uses their account for direct debits. Rejoining the Blue Rewards scheme and opening a Rainy Day Saver took around 2 minutes in total via online banking.

Yes I'd abolutely agree with that.

And for those who are starting out on the savings journey 5% on £5k must be worth the effort.

I went to login to open it.. cards out of date, not been renewed; app had ceased to work, wanted defunct card info., online was as bad.
Was left considering a long frustrating call when I'm already month end busy, when I decided I don't need it that badly.

And I'm pretty sure something near & easy will be along shortly...
  • Regret opening the charter account already if Al Ratan beats it. My deposit to charter still hasn’t left my own bank account 5 hours later 👀

Had account a month now easy to set up, app works and this is second rate rise already, not withdrawn but believe £20k day max like it
