    ... and now listed on the moneyfacts site if you set the investment amount to less than £5,000.... I would assume it should work at £5k, but it doesn't seem to.

    According to the bbc just now, markets are pricing in an emergency rise the week by 0.75 followed by 1% in November

  • We have to pray on our knees that this BOE expectation for an emergency follow-up rate hike is true. Sterling lost over 6% in just two days. And you are all discussing earning interest of 2% pa. "Lord giveth and the Governments taketh away" .

    Sterling is only going to improve against the USD when BOEBR matches the Federal Reserve rate - which is currently 1% higher.

    BOE messing around as usual at their 6 week reviews instead of making bold changes that would actually make a difference.

    In the good old days when we left the ERM under another Tory government and the £ collasped they increased rates to 17%, yes seventeen%.
