Just a heads-up for people moving to Chase: I opened a current account no problem (apart from a bit of a wait for ID verification), but when I went to add the savings account, the 1.5% account did not appear in the list. I had to hard-quit the app, update to the latest version (I think an update was released 1 - 2 days ago), and then the 1.5% account option appeared.

May I warn people that the Chase app does not have log out option. The app will close if there is no activity for couple of minutes.
Also, even if you leave/close the app and open within a minute app is still open with your account dashboard.
Additionally, I tried to deposit my usual "check authenticity of the bank details" with £10.00, my bank (First Direct) did not confirm the receiving bank (Chase) bank details.
I have reported both issues to the Chase bank through the message us.
I have been told to use another bank to deposit my money.
I will now have to open a new account if I want to deposit any money in Chase UK.

It’s an issue but not a problem, I’m with first direct and like you opened a chase account and called them to make the first £10 payment. After the usual are you sure questions and we can’t confirm the account is it ok to send I said yes. Send the money. 10 mins later I had funded the account. I then sent a 5 figure sum and 5 minutes later it was in chase and 30 seconds later in the savings account. It was the next fd payment that got fraud checked. 

Went through after the call.

Anyone know which Yorkshire Building Society variable rate accounts are increasing today? Cannot see any on their website and my Internet Saver ISA Plus v 10 account doesn't seem to have done despite them saying the majority of variable rate accounts will increase

Al Rayan have an Easy Access account paying 1.01% on £2,500+ - it's a Sharia bank, so that will be the expected rate...

My existing 'Everyday Branch Saver' with them has now updated from 0.8% to 1.01% also.

I can't see where YBS have upped the interest rates. Still looks same to me.

Disappointed with YBS….They had said they would increase their interest rates today on most of their savings accounts so had expected them to increase the rate on my Internet Saver 10 which was 0.82% on £50k+ to at least 1.05%, but all they’ve offered is a new e-isa giving 1.15% on £50k+. Cash isas are of no interest as my isa allowance is always used on my other investments. Have begun moving my cash out of YBS into my Santander 123 for onward moving into Cynergy and Zopa over the next few days. Only opened the account 3 weeks ago too 😀

That loyalty isa has been there a while now actually. It's only for customers who have been there 12 months or more unfortunately.

Think they haven't done the increase yet, maybe after close of business today
