Aldermore have an Easy Access that pays 0.85% - their 0.95% account above only has 2 withdrawals before the rates drops to 0.1% (both require £1k to open).

Tesco 0.84%?   Intro offer? Additional hoops? CA etc.?

Can't see it available when I log in.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

    Old account that tracks BOEBR

Unhelpful for people to keep referring to it, as it is not available to new customers.

I asked Charter Savings Bank if there were plans to change their interest rate of 0.6% on the Easy Access account as it is now uncompetitive. Answer there came: "We are unaware of any changes to any interest rates at this time". Time to go, I guess.

I asked a few weeks back, and received a standardised response about the various factors involved in the setting of interest rates etc., which wasn't encouraging, but, I held off for a bit longer, just in case, but finally closed mine today.

I remember back in 2015 the base rate was 0.5 and there was a NatWest account with 2.8 percent easy access

    What happened ?

Quantitative Easing and other liquidity-boosting schemes that reduced banks' needs to attract deposits.

Oh no. Hasn't QE stopped now? So more banks will be clamouring for our money?

Having to go to aldi super bonus variable saver paying 0.8 percent and Barclays offering 0.01 and then a 4 percent mortgage

    Shameless
