What's wrong with the savings accounts DD list (that you said was "Exact thread I was looking for ")? Any DD can be set up to draw money from any bank, nothing special for Halifax. Of course they insist on DDs that pay monthly but it's not hard to set these up.

Can you point me to the link again I cannot find it - thanks!

Does the £1000 credit have to be external or can it be like Lloyds where it circulates between accounts?

BoS works same way as Lloyds does.

    This one?

Re the funding question, I'm not with BOS myself but it only says £1k needs to be deposited, and cycling works for Lloyds and Halifax (part of same group), so presume so.

Edit: innovate's too quick for me!

Yes it is for the family reg saver. But for reg saver it's 1.85% AER. Which would be good for any additional money after saving first in an ISA. As currently, the highest paying instant access account I have is 1% AER

Can one open both the family saver and regular saver?:o

Its not as easy as you say

I tried with Clydesdale today and it was impossible

I have managed to sort out 2 DD's with AA and one with Post Office so far

    Have you done Tesco?

    How many do you need?

I think I can say with certainty that I have DDs for any account (incl. their multiples) that must have DDs, and it took me less than an hour to open the requisite accounts.

Tesco is done I needed lots of them to cover all these accounts

One other thing is that with 123 Account if you have Council Tax as one of your DD's they only take 10 payments not 12 - so you need another DD anyway

You are aware that you can set up multiple DD's on both the Tesco internet saver and instant access saver accounts? You can therefore use these two accounts to satisfy the DD requirements for a number of accounts that need two DD's (and set them up yourself online which makes things easy), as long as the terms allow for both to come from the same company (e.g. Halifax Reward apparently has to come from different companies)
