Pompeydave1967 said:Grouchy said:Charter Savings - apologies another question. Having set up their EA account without problem, stipulated in their confirmation, 'The initial deposit will be will be rejected ... if it doesn't meet the minimum balance requirements". So that would be a £5000 minimum first deposit. Quite clear. However, I usually do a test transfer when opening a new account, is it possible with this account to say transfer £10 first? Thanks
Or do the £5k very very carefully and not on a Friday which may require a nervous wait over the weekend!0 -
These 3% will be handy for any that have already funded Coventry, but also have some funds in Santander, Atom, Chase, Shawbrook, Marcus, Ford, or even Zopa not in a boosted pot, - in other words the long list of accounts that once in a while jump to the top and get pages of posts here with people making efforts to sign up - only to then see the account fall behind after just a couple of months .1

Not sure if this is covered before but I've had a few issues with the Chase savings account. When I try to transfer out large sums (just under £10k) they get blocked for security checks even though I'm transferring to an account with another bank in my name. Is this a known issue?0

A quick query for anyone who's opened one of the Coventry BS Online 6 saver things (without already having an account with them).
I've had the forms through in the post after filling the the application form in on their website about 2 weeks back. I've then completed the application form, scanned it and emailed it the address on the application form (ticking the option saying I'll send an electronic payment once the account is opened).
Does anyone know what sort of turn-around time there is on them opening the account?0 -
