    Hi,

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere and I missed it, but does anyone know if the account you are switching in has to already have Direct Debits set up on it?

The only spare account I have is very much dormant with no DDs etc.

    Thanks in advance.
I recommend you read the T&Cs. whilst you might get correct advice on an internet forum (as you did in this case), it is the T&Cs that prevail, not what a bunch of anonymous strangers say on the Internet.

Can someone clarify I have followed the prices correctly?

I opened an account switched during the process which was completed today. I now go to the website enter my switch code and the code then I will receive the voucher at some point?

I now want to move another account in. So I call up, do a switch over the phone, and basically follow the process above once switch is complete?
  • Hi,

Back again sorry. I now have a referral code.

Am about to open a second account with Santander and switch an external account into it.

Where/at what stage do they ask me to input the referral code? Is it during the application for the new account? Apologies if this is a dim question, just don't want to mess it up for me or my referrer!

    Thanks in advance.

    I believe that is correct.

This should work, if they allow multiple switches into the same account.

You are pretty safe phoning because you can get confirmation from the switch team that you'll qualify as you do it?

I assume it was you who added the 'FSW' to your quote from wizzywig27?
FSW is, I think, the prefix used by Nationwide (not Santander) for their switch codes?
Or do all CASS switches have similar codes?

My switch was from Nationwide to Santander, letters from each of them had same switch reference I wasn't surprised to see. :)

https://www.santanderreferafriend.co.uk/claimamazon.php FSW prefix is very clear on claim form

    Hi,

Please can anyone comment on whether there is a limit to the number of current accounts you can open with Santander?

A relative already had two long standing ones and has been successful opening a third (Everyday Current Acct) for this promotion. Wondering about chancing another application to 'earn' another voucher. Is there a fixed cap or is it discretionary on the part of Santander?

    Many thx.

    It used to be unlimited but I think it's now 2 of each type. I.e. 2 x 1-2-3s, 2 x 1-2-3 lite, etc etc

However, you don't need any new account for this offer. You can switch into existing accounts. Annoyingly, there's no online facility to switch into an existing account but you can call 0800 085 2202, or pop into a Branch, to do it.

Has anyone managed to switch multiple accounts into a single santander account and get multiple rewards?
