I switched without a debit card. They just went ahead initiated the switch. I got the confirmation email and the switch URN shortly after the call.
The point is if you don't have a debit card for the sacrificial account their process won't let you switch on line.0 -

Why do some forum boards have their own rules?-
Any referrals on any other forum boards will be removed when reported, as will links to the Referrers Board from the main MoneySaving boards.
This also includes members saying "Please PM me for the code" or "check my post on the Referrers Board". The overriding rule is that no advertising is allowed.

If done over the phone, the adviser should have asked to say if you want updates on the switch via email. This would've then led to an email being received within minutes which also contains the CASS URN.
If done online, there is an option which you can select for email updates on the switch; again this leads to an email being received within minutes (a few seconds in my case) which contains the CASS URN.
If you haven't received the email, I wouldn't worry too much as you will receive paperwork via snail mail which will contain the relevant information.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member
