Santander ask for the expiry date when you do the switch.

An added complication is that I’ve moved house since then.
Your switch might fail if the addresses on the accounts don't match.
  • Thanks, I think my best option is to update my details and get a new card issued.

I am not sure if anyone has asked this, but I have two accounts I want to close, apparently you can switch in two accounts and get the reward twice as long as you get two different codes.

Has anyone else received a letter from Santander to say they've converted your Everyday Current Account into an Everyday Current Account Switcher? It's also updated the name online. I'm just over halfway through the switch process.

  • Mine was already called an Everyday Current Account Switcher from when I opened it and switched into it a few years ago.
  • We received a letter today saying that they had amended our 123 Lite account to a 123 Lite Switcher. I phoned them up and apparently it's because a switch is happening and was told that it should convert back to just the normal name afterwards.

I am switching to a 123 Select, to be completed this week. The account name looks unchanged.
  • Hi,

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere and I missed it, but does anyone know if the account you are switching in has to already have Direct Debits set up on it?

The only spare account I have is very much dormant with no DDs etc.

    Thanks in advance.
  • No DD required for this switch
