I'm hoping to do one last switch this week before the deadline.

Has anybody got a spare code I/we can use.

    Please PM me if so.

    Thanks T

It's early yet, but for the soon-to-be last minuters...

Tuesday 18th June is last day to submit claim for Santander switching raf incentives.

Switch must be completed, followed by the claim submission albeit it can be the same day IME.

    CASS takes 7 working days.

To be safe maybe you need to complete the switch Monday 17th June.

If the day you request the switch process to start 'immediately' isn't counted in your 7 working? ... maybe not if late in the day... :

    Fri 7th = 1st working day; Mon- Fri, 10-15th =2-6th; Mon 17th=7th

So, ignoring day of switch request and day of completion, last day for initiating safe switch is Thursday 6th June.

Including initiation & same completion day claim, drop dead date is Monday 10th June.

All assumes it doesn't get rejected by your 'releasing' bank.
To all those last minute switchers... what do we think the deadlines are as the Santander info is not clear to me?

All my switches have included the request date in the 7 working days so, for example, ones started last Tuesday 28th are completing on Wednesday 5th. I've always waited until the following day to make my claims.

    Santander t's & c's:

"Once issued a Code will remain valid until 18 June 2019" - until the beginning or end of the 18th? The offer of codes was until 18 May 2019 and they pulled that a day earlier than expected as the link was already gone early on 18th.

"The Friend must apply for the Current Account Switch by 18 June 2019".

"You will also need to be 18 years of age or over and have made a successful application for the Current Account Switch before 18 June 2019" - latest completion 17th June then?

"Once you have completed the Current Account Switch, you can claim the two £50 Amazon Gift Cards (one for you and one for the Referring Friend) no later 18 June" - surely confirming claims can be made on 18th June.

    Claim form:

"Wait 7 working days for the switch To be completed and for your old current account to be closed" - I'm not sure at what point the old a/c is closed. Maybe soon after the balance gets transferred but on some such as BOS the a/c is still visible later in the day and only disappears overnight.

    Conclusions...
I'm uncertain whether a switch completing on 18th and claimed that day would qualify.
Should be OK for switch completing on 17th & claimed on 18th - this would mean starting the switch on Friday 7th June.
Agree with soulsaver that the last day for initiating safe switch is Thursday 6th.

I'm going to have to chase a few outstanding £50 amazon .

How helpful are the team on the phone, pl?
Will the switch code numbers and my account details be enough for them?

I am hesitant as they may say they can't tell me anything about the other party, etc etc

    Thanks

Email address claimed from is all they need as initially will email list of Amazon codes that have been sent out. ( excel file password protected for me last week)

I dont have up to date Office/excel and couldnt download compatibility file so I was asked to email list of last 4 digits of Amazon codes recieved :o so they could see if they could spot missing 2 codes

Referrer can give code and any other information asked for to find out if claim has been received/approved/voucher sent out

I'd add that the time of starting the switch during the day doesn't appear to matter. For example, my experience is consistent with what you say, for both a switch started at 8:15am and a switch started at 6:30pm - although I can't say for definite for times later than that.

Did this result in you getting your two missing codes? Had they been sent and not received, or were they just missing from their files? I have phoned as referrer (as missing one for a referree) as we are still missing one, despite chasing a few times :(.

    Thanks

Do you know if it is possible to switch two accounts into the one simultaneously? Or need to wait until first switch finishes to start another?

I telephoned today to get a switch done.

I called as I did not have my debit card for the account I was transferring.

I thought this was the process to phone if you did not have a debit card.

I was told , the switch will reject if there is an active debit card on the account.

I could not find the debit card. I hope it will not reject.

What have others experience been? Those like me that could not find the debit card?
