I have had a switch go through by declaring no debit card as didnt realise a debit card had been issued for the account, I have had switches go through even though transpired quoted old debit card number not realising a new debit card had been issued.

In a subsequent call to Santander switching team I was informed that if a debit card has been issued it needs to be provided and that if a new account has been opened must wait until debit card arrives.

It is a fact that this person had switch rejected due to no debit card details having been quoted when a debit card had been issued and everyone else who has posted expressing an opinion on this subject has said that if a debit card has been issued it needs to be quoted to guarantee a successful switch.

"I forgot that the switching account had a debit card so didn't give the details"

And they told me it doesn't matter.

It's not a fact, it's an assumption - fact is, it's not the reason Santander gave in their mail.

However if you want to be sure you qualify and you'd run out of time if there was a problem, I'd recommend you do take the steps to have your activated debit cards to hand and any balance cleared in time for the switch.

Just received a switcher voucher from claim made on 20/05

EDIT: Weirdly enough only received the 1 even though I had 2 claims.

I did three claims on the 21st and only one of them seems to have been processed today.

The trouble is I don't know which one, as there is no clue in the email and I didn't think to use different email addresses.

That’s the same problem I have too. I stupidly thought that the email you had to use to claim it had to be the same one that was registered with Santander. Of course after claiming the first 3 I found out that any email could be used.

    Hopefully the rest come tomorrow.

Yes I thought that my Santander registered email had to be used as well.

Nothing so far today and now looking unlikely :(

Maybe their systems can't cope with more than one claim made on the same day. I know it says up to 30 days but it seems strange that they don't process claims submitted on the same day together.

I did not know that! It would have been much easier keeping track with different email addresses.

In theory you can tell which has been processed as the referrer email includes the referral code and both should be processed on the same day.

I ended up receiving the second yesterday. It was at 17:07.

I’m not sure how they decide to send the vouchers, as some people still have outstanding ones.
