    Email notification? Not to me!

First I heard about this was trying to log online to TPO account today to complain I couldn't connect!

Smarty seems to be a monthly package whch doesn't suit. What's the cheapest PAYG?

    Try reading the whole thread.
  • My number was finally ported in yesterday, after requesting a second attempt from Lycamobile on Friday.
The first one never went through.
I still haven't received any Smarty sim cards up to this day.

Also received an email about remaining PAYG credit.
They said you have to claim it, fill in a form and send it.
They will double check and then reply to your query.

Well, I don't think I had much credit remaining, must be around £2.50, so I won't be bothered.
Seems like a lot of hassle just to get one's credit back.
It's not our fault that they had gone bust. They should make it easier on us.
I pity people who had a lot of credit remaining on their PAYG account.

Of course, we don't care about people who may have lost their jobs.

Just checked my bank and TPO have taken next month's DD this morning despite in their letter and on web site saying this would not happen! Was about to cancel the DD - to late!!!!

Has anyone else have this happen?

Is there any way/chance of getting the money back?

I have 'messaged' TPO but the chances of a reply are slim, I think, as they are closing down tomorrow.
    Thanks

I'm also in this position - complained to TPO but have just received the form to claim from the administrators, which is never going to happen.

I will try to claim back on direct debit guarantee from my bank, but not holding out much hope.......

Ok I didnt act very quickly (feb24th) but I received my sim from Plusnet,on 26th but TPO texted me on Feb 28th to say PAC code would work for another week. Plusnet have led me a merry dance saying that they would port it by Fri 1st then they said Tuesday 5th , I spent 35m on phone to them yesterday when rthey said they COULDNT DO IT , no word of apology :mad::mad:
I've just raised a case against them with the Resolver tool on this website. They have SERIOUS customer care issues . I am going to stop my contract if they can't help me.

You only have 14 days to cancel as of right under distance selling laws so if that's your decision you'd better do it very soon.

Mightn't be best to find out why they can't do it before blaming Plusnet?

Don't think for one minute I'm a fan of Plusnet, but other networks are the ones picking up the pieces here.
  • I was out of the country with work until 17th of this month. I received an email while I was away and got sent a PAC code on the 25th Feb after chatting with TPO staff. I did not receive a SMARTY SIM from TPO and have since managed to acquire one from SMARTY themselves. I tried to port my number as quickly as possible but my PAC code has expired. Does anyone know of any way of contacting any remnants of TPO, a phone number or something?
