Thank you OAT that's a great idea, I'd forgotten all about the DD guarantee - never had to use it.
Now the challange of working through that process - always learning!!!

I've started the porting on Mon, Feb 18 evening to move to IDMobile. I chased on Fri and IDMobile said they were having problems getting details from TPO. Like others getting concerned as to what happens if porting not done by 26 Feb. Does that mean can never use or port existing mobile number after 26 Feb?
I started my port on Tuesday 19th, and got the same answer from ID when I chased them today.
It won't be the end of the world if I end up losing the number, but it will be annoying!0 -
My transfer to smarty hasn't happened yet, thousands of business cards (in the wild and cupboard) say I need to keep my number.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

My port to Three was supposed to be Friday last week, but no.
When I phoned they cancelled the original port & started again.
Said to give it 48 hours.
It looks like quite a few are having troubles and we're being told it's from TPO's side that porting troubles are arising.
Me, my fingers are crossed.0 -
Mine's ported in the last couple of hours, so I've got my fingers crossed for everyone else now!0

Mine still not transferred but mother laws has (done at same time).
Apparently PAC code will still be valid for 7 days.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

My transfer to Smarty hasn't happened yet either. Am a bit concerned as my Smarty dashboard which had changed to say my number transfer was in progress has changed back to "do you want to keep your old number?" I've just resubmitted my request and PAC code and the same thing has happened again.0

I requested a transfer of my old number to ID Mobile on 19th February. Phoned on 22nd as it had not been done and was told it would be done by 9pm that evening. It wasn't. So phoned again on 23rd when they "escalated" it but as of today my old number has still not been transferred.
ID Mobile say that there are awaiting the release of numbers from TPO.
Phoned ID Mobile today and when I pointed out that it's now beyond 26th February so is it actually possible that the numbers would now be released by TPO, all I was getting was a parrot-fashion "we don't have any further information" from their customer service team.
Not helpful - I guess I may have to get used to my new number but fingers crossed the old one may still get back to me somehow!0 -
Providing the PAC was issued and recorded correctly you should be OK, IIRC, the number is ringfenced for 30 days. Most networks would reject the PAC if it hadn't been issued correctly as it won't match an entry on the database.0

TPO has been very irresponsible about this issue: not informing us early enough and allowing us time to transfer numbers in time.
I only received emails about my 2 numbers last Monday 18th.
Today we are Wednesday 27th and I still haven't received any Smarty sim cards.
Given the delay to receive the sim cards, I requested porting one number to Lycamobile but it still hasn't happened.
Meanwhile, TPO network has gone offline and my number is unreachable.
They also never mentioned anything about the remaining credit for Pay As You Go customers.0
