I love the DD fluctuating every month, paying for the actual fuel you use is a novelty these days !
Far more useful as a way of keeping tabs on your usage, and it doesn't need a £475 smart meter !

My first bill came on 2 OCT and DD taken on 7 OCT. Now half of November is gone I still have not received my bill and DD is not taken either.

My bill is late too. Looks like they are behind this month.

Many have received bills so something else may be at play here, are you former Eversmart customers by any chance ? If you were then definitely give them a call, they answer the phone quickly.

I love it too! Adds a bit of excitement waiting to see how much they are going to charge me based on their own guesses of how much I will use

Has anyone actually worked out in simple terms how they actually calculate their complicated bill when they do get it?
    Beats me!
(but it seems to work out correctly in the long run, based on my own spreadsheet I have to keep tabs on what I am using, what it should cost, and what Symbio actually decide to take from my bank account.)

Anyway, this month, just to add a bit more excitement to the whole process, it looks like they decided not to bill me at all!:rotfl:
DD collection is usually on the 18th, but with no bill, I had no idea what they were going to collect.
So in my ever growing excitement, I had to check with my bank how much they would take. Looks like they at least got that right.

No bill = No advance notice = No right to collect anything. ;)

Oh well, perhaps double charge next month, just in time for Christmas!

    Yes, I love it!
Perhaps one day, all suppliers will act this way?

Is that the only bill you have ever received from Symbio?

I understood from the previous posts that your switch took place end of September? Is that correct?

If so, Symbio usually bill on the day the switch occurs, which would be from the switch date until 01-Oct - this would obviously be their first estimated bill

Then you should have had another in October sometime to cover 02-Oct til 01-Nov - again estimated, but with a correction to the few days use in September.

What lots of people now seem to be missing, you included, is the estimated bill 02-Nov -01 Dec (or maybe oddly only until 30-Nov someone indicated above?), with the correction to October's consumption.

    Your dates seem strange too.
Symbio have always emailed me on the date the bill is dated (except their second/revised bill in September mentioned earlier in this thread, when they seem to have forgotten to email that revised bill, so I picked it up from the online account)
DD collection is 7 days after the bill date.

My charge for the month has always been My-original-annual-estimate x days-in-month / 365

The advance notice actually comes from their DD agent, gocardless. But the agent does not know what to collect because, as I said.

No bill = No advance notice = No right to collect anything. ;)

They sent the bill today at about 2 o'clock, so will collect the amount due on the 25th :T
