No bill. It's a bit puzzling why it takes quite so long, unless they're using a Sinclair Spectrum and a bit of RAM pack wobble means they have to keep starting again!

Just contacted Symbio - picked the phone up straight away - and they will object to my switch away. 2 x £30 vouchers in the post this morning from Utilita for the last time they stole me.

edit: After eventually getting through to Utilita after around 1.5 hours of holding and giving up they tried to tell me that Symbio had initiated the transfer to them then hung up on me. Got back to Symbio, who once again picked up immediately, and they said they just get a system generated request to switch out. Got back to Utilita - only 15 minutes hold this time - who said it must have been a system error (yeh right) and they have cancelled the switch and will confirm in writing.

Out of interest - has anyone had their November bill yet? They have been arriving on 11th for the last few months. I'm fairly sure someone asked the question yesterday, but the posting disappeared as I was about to reply. I'm not too bothered by its absence (on the "no bill, no pay" theory)
No bill for me either, usually get mine on the 11th too.

Typically, a couple of hours after posting that no bill had arrived, it arrives!!

Three bills in with Symbio I can see that their crazy advance estimating billing approach has done them out of 55kWh due to extending the estimated period on the first bill without charging for it and then refunding when I'd used less than they'd estimated for the extended period! Their loss.

The "view" tab is now working on the billing page - doesn't fry your brain as much as the full bill ;)

I can still remember helping my mate upgrate his 16K Spectrum to 48K by opening it up and inserting the upgrade memory chips!

None of your push on memory packs for him (or me.)

I used to dream of having a microdrive (but I was too tight to buy one) :rotfl:

The ordering of the bills is a bit cranky though, mine are listed: bill 2, bill 3, bill 1. Since they can't even spell I do worry about their IT skills!

My bill has also arrived. For some reason they have only billed for estimated November usage, no prior month adjustment. I guess this is something to do with their "validation" requirement not completing in time (which might also explain the delay). I gave them a reading of 45,309 on 1st Nov, they have used an "estimated" reading of 45,308.58 as the opening reading!

BTW they seem to have changed the bill date - this one covers 2nd to 30th November, not 1st December.

On a positive note, the spelling gets better. And they're cheap, so the crap website and over complicated billing are perhaps forgivable. I just hope they don't go bust because they're too cheap. Some people might not like the direct debit amount fluctuating every month, but I'm cool with it.

I love the DD fluctuating every month, paying for the actual fuel you use is a novelty these days !
