Credit now on my EON.Next account is 66p more than I had calculated it would be. Can't complain about that. Looking good.0

They want a couple of quid off me as they've used the 31st October reading I submitted to them (for fun) as the closing 2nd October figure. I noticed that E.On also changed their opening, 3rd October, figure to that reading from the one I gave to both on the 4th.
I'm happy as I've had cheaper leccy.
Now to see if the E.On bill gets generated with the incorrect tariff as (like matelodave) I set up a DD asap, but the first one goes out tomorrow.
If necessary surely one can 'push' a FP to EON Next using one's account number as the reference? EOn next now appear in my HSBC bank account's Company Payees lists. Or use one of the other methods here https://www.eonnext.com/help/bills-and-paymentsemmajones1976 said: Fancy asking them if they are going to start accepting debit card payments online for ex-Symbio customers anytime soon?0 -
matelodave said:Just noticed that my SMETS1 smart meter is now working with the new EoN-Next tariff (both tariff and s/c are functioning) although the cheeky B's have me on the "receipt of bill" tariff rather than the DD tariff, despite the fact that I registered a DD as soon as I was able.
The difference being 4.56p/day and 1.11p/lwh which equates to an extra £16.64 a year on the standing charge but the extra 1.11p would cost me £85/pa more as well costing me an extra £100 a year.
They have changed it from today but I have registered a complaint as I reckon they are taking the proverbial as they aren't offering to backdate it to when they took over.A chicken crossing the road is poultry in motion0 -
So if the bill shows - against amount owed, is that credit? My final bill is totally different to my previous Oct.0

After what was posted above, I messaged them (via FB Messenger). So looks like as long as direct debit is set up, no action is needed and the correct DD tariff will be backdated to the transfer date. I won’t escalate it any further and will see what happens, in case any of their staff manually stepping in causes a problem. Hopefully this reassures anyone in the same situation, at least for now.1

Not had any final bill from Symbio yet. I did notice that they must have cancelled the direct debit as no payment taken last month and no longer in my list of DD mandates on my bank account. Nothing from Eon (other than email saying we’re taking over Symbio supply) either though was only with them for a short while until switched to Neon Reef.0

No final bill for me either. Maybe my bill is in the "severe audit" pile. Or considering how they've assumed I used half a year's worth of energy in eight days despite actual meter readings and photographic proof, the "paying for the Christmas Party" or the "early retirement for the bailiffs" pile. My SMETS2 meter still says its registered with Symbio Energy.0

Yes, I too signed up for the 18-month tariff. SC increased from 24.382p to 38.08p and UP increased from 20.14p to 21.86p.
This is around a £90 a year increase over their current SVT. I can see prices increasing by more than this come April '22.Electricity
Fix to 2023 v2
Fixed term ends 26/05/2023
22.53 p/kWh 25.09 p/day(All rates inc. VAT)

You'd have paid extra for however long, then would get nothing back in return.Heads they win, tails you lose. It's like paying for insurance but where they'll never pay out if you claim.
Eon are one the big six so I would not expect them to go bust.
