No - not related at all. I think I have seen some critical posts by that userid somewhere in this thread.

I was asking if "1974Stephen" is related to "Steve900", not you fewkeste! :)

So, having agonised for weeks about whether to go with Orbit, Outfox or Green, I have just this minute signed up with Symbio, despite the reservations / comments expressed here about billing systems and customer service.
That's a shame. Symbio upped their prices last Thursday.
Still cheap, but not as good a deal as you could have got last week (before Thursday)

Welcome email and DD/Billing account email setup arrived within seconds. Changeover date estimated as 25th August. All good so far...
    Don't hold your breath.
Expect another email, probably on Friday, where they will push the start date back by however many days it takes them to send that email ;)

You should have already received 3 emails today.
    1. Welcome to Symbio
    2. Tariff details confirmation
    3. DD set up

The one in about a weeks time will be
    4. Switching process initiated

    Edit:
Actually there is another email you should receive today or tomorrow. It'll say it's from Symbio, but it's actually from gocardless. They are the agent Symbio uses to collect direct debits. So no surprise it's another confirmation that you have just set a up a DD

It's one of the August fixed tariffs - I don't think they have changed, at least I haven't noticed any significant difference in the Symbio numbers

That's ok, I was thinking 14 days was a bit quick. My Utility Point contract ends on 30th. I don't care if it drags a bit

I've had the Welcome and the two DD emails. The welcome email says tariff details will be confirmed by CS, so I'll expect that tomorrow

[UPDATE - the tariff information email just arrived :) ]
[UPDATE - the switch initiation email arrived this morning (12th)]

This is a disgrace of a company. I shall be waiting to shout "I told you so" the minute the moaning starts.

I've been thinking seriously of a switch to Symbio - I thought it was too much of a good thing back in Feb. when I left Together Energy to go to Yorkshire Energy, but the potential savings look very tempting.

HOWEVER, as regular readers may be aware, last year I was with IRESA....then (after Octopus) with Usio....then (after First Utility) with One Select....so if I do move to Symbio...be afraid..be very afraid:rotfl:

Interesting - how did you find out? I clicked on the ID to see the other posts but didn't see anything to indicate that this ID is blocked from posting.

One slight hiccup with symbio though it's not symbios fault

Since symbio changed the provider used to collect direct debits natwest have stopped recognising symbio as a valid electricity supplier for rewards. I get 2% back in rewards for household bills via my natwest reward account.

Initially natwest failed to recognise symbio until I queried it. After several attempts I got them to recognise symbio

However when symbio changed method of direct debit natwest stopped paying rewards

I have once again began querying this.
