Just logged on to my account to be greeted by a new layout and see they have changed it to show some very fancy graphs and showing how much electricity has been used since I joined. The bad news it will not allow you to enter meter reads. Oh well back to the drawing board.

I went on supply yesterday and sent an email to their dedicated meter reads email address the night before. Haven't had any response yet, meanwhile Bulb have already sent me my final bill, just a few hours after switching over.

So if the company goes bust (which if half the country are signing up to symbio they shouldn't) whats the problem. I have no credit stored up with symbio and in the meantime I'm saving a few quid a month. I'll Just get out on another suppliers tariff for 30 days and leave for my chosen supplier in due course. I'm quite happy with symbio

Just received my new bill and everything is spot on. I budget £58.00 a month and the bills are coming in lower than this amount. What I like with Symbio they only charge you for the energy used so no big issue with building up a credit on the account and hassle getting it back when you leave. However the difference I put into one of my bank accounts so when the Winter period starts I have a reserve.

Also they have pointed out to me again they only require a meter read by the 2nd each month. I think I have been getting on their nerves with daily reads and to many photos of my meter.

In the process of switching. I'm with ebico and my bills have doubled. I have an E7 meter and I asked Symbio if I can go on a flat tarrif which I can. I just submit each reading.

So, having agonised for weeks about whether to go with Orbit, Outfox or Green, I have just this minute signed up with Symbio, despite the reservations / comments expressed here about billing systems and customer service.

@Tafrock my decision was based partly on your experience, which has been more positive lately. If it all goes pear shaped I shall hold you responsible :D :rotfl:

Welcome email and DD/Billing account email setup arrived within seconds. Changeover date estimated as 25th August. All good so far...
  • This is a disgrace of a company. I shall be waiting to shout "I told you so" the minute the moaning starts.

An interesting comment. Can you expand on the reasons for your comment please?

I am not a customer of Symbio - I had concerns about them and decided not to sign up even though they were offering very competitive rates.

What do you know that others should know?

Are you by any chance related to user "Steve900" who also has issues with Symbio?

Anyway my choice; if it works - great, if it goes wrong - I simply up sticks and go elsewhere, no great hardship

No - not related at all. I think I have seen some critical posts by that userid somewhere in this thread.

I'm just interested to know why 1974Stephen says what (he?) does about Symbio.

When they appeared I did some director searches and was a little concerned about what I found. If others have concerns about the company I'm curious to know what concerns and what the basis for those concerns is - that's my reason for asking.
