Symbio Energy feedback

The only named contact I've had is with Cidelle - we had an intensely brain numbing conversation about Estimated Annual Consumption figures. My suggestion that 18 months of Actual Consumption data might be the best guide for guessing future EAC fell on deaf ears!!Hasbeen said:

Well I doubt you were speaking to an employee of Symbio who may have an understanding of energy industry. More likely an outsourced call centre that deals with a variety of companies and relies on screen pop ups when customers call in.Tallerdave said:

Glad others have had it - thought it was because I'd emailed to ask to change tariffas a website quote put up a new variable was cheaper than my current variable was with them.couriervanman said:
I've had the same at least we have until 31st March but no guarantee more cheaper tariffs wont be pulled before that dateTallerdave said:They've just emailed to terminate my variable rate. They don't understand what a variable rate is, do they?! They prefer to create a new rate than actually vary the one I'm on!
"To renew your subscription, you can select a new preference plan by clicking here before 31 March 2021.
In case you miss the given deadline, you shall be automatically placed on the below-mentioned tariff plan. (Should you like to change or amend your plan, you can initiate the same before 14 April 2021."0 -
My usage for Feb was 315 against their forecast of 528 units.0

This isn't good enough!! Symbio will tell you that "the industry" says you must be using more because of the pandemic!CRISPIANNE3 said:My usage for Feb was 315 against their forecast of 528 units.
Have they permanently given up on meter reading reminders now? I guess not reconciling against reality helps bulk up the interest free loan a bit more. But it all has to be repaid in the end.0 -
Did not receive a monthly meter reading reminder as yet.Tallerdave said:

This has happened before when they appear to want to issue high estimated bills to draw in money for fines etc?
So gentle reminder put your readings in today!0 -
Done! February usage 359 against their estimate of 600.Anunnaki said:So gentle reminder put your readings in today!0 -
No meter reading reminder here either - no reminder for at least the last three months now. I have just given them my reading - 341 - but there is no area on my Customer Portal at all that shows what their projected reading estimate is. There used to be, but it disappeared a couple of months ago. It used to show a graph of their estimated usage versus my readings and it has gone.A chicken crossing the road is poultry in motion0

In case there is any doubt on their part the validity of the reads I always take a picture of the meter but never makes any difference. Oh well!Tallerdave said:

Yep, no reminder again. I used 750 in February against their estimate of 864. I don't mind lending them £15 for now in order to get cheap electricity. It all seems to work out in the end.0
