Symbio Energy feedback

July 2020Symbio estimation: 4% below EAC/12
Actual usage: 22% below EAC/12I suppose I'll have to pay something this month, after the bonus of last month's negative bill. What's amazing is that I had my first tariff renewal email a couple of weeks ago, and in that Symbio quote an EAC 7% below the EAC I gave them a year ago. Actual consumption will be about 5% below EAC, so they're being even more optimistic than I would be at this time. That I cannot understand, but it looks as if the renewals algorithm was coded by someone with a brain.
Hmmm, good luck with that!!carpy said:Wednesday was my last day with Symbio....
As of yesterday I'm with OTM.1 -
I finish next week. They demanded a photo of my meter reading when I gave this months reading. Neon Reef here I come.carpy said:Wednesday was my last day with Symbio....

We'll see how long it takes Symbio to finalise my account and refund my credit balance!!Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning. Albert Einstein0 -

It's taken 4 days for the first "We have sent your meter readings for approval" email to arrive this month. I hope that's not an indication they're going to ignore this month's readings!0

Mine came back a couple of hours after I'd sent mine in (which was pretty good for a Saturday). However as I was a day late this month due to being on holiday on 31st I guess it wont be used anyway.Talldave said:It's taken 4 days for the first "We have sent your meter readings for approval" email to arrive this month. Mine as well,as likely to ignore readings as any other month. Not fussed as their cheap, the renewal I was sent starting in October, not so cheap. This insisting on photos stuff is nonsense, the first time I receive one will be the last. The last terms and conditions they sent were concerning, basically if your not using what we say you are whilst disregarding your supplied readings your a liar and we demand pictures to prove it.Talldave said:It's taken 4 days for the first "We have sent your meter readings for approval" email to arrive this month. Yes, I found that all a bit unacceptable, but compared to the other impositions into life that our newly developing police state is throwing at us, it's probably not worth stressing about. I am dreading having to click on the "sign up for a further 12 months" link though!rp1974 said:

Totally agree, its all getting a bit 1984,thats not a good thing. It would be nice to be able to disagree with someone/something without the instant howls of being ist, ism, phobic etc.Talldave said:

I never seem to receive any "sent for approval messages" anymore. I have signed up for their very basic app and just send a picture of the meter every month.0

I have the app as well, its ok,nothing special or particularly informative, much like the website.Do you still send readings as well,or is the picture sufficient?.CRISPIANNE3 said:I never seem to receive any "sent for approval messages" anymore.
