Shame about the 20p/day standing charge and the £25 early exit fee.
Why?  They're still the cheapest.  It's the maths that matters, not emotive opinions on standing charges!  Last year I was paying over 42p a day gas standing charge, but I was still on the cheapest deal available to me.

Because only posting part of a tariff's detail is likely to mislead, as is your sweeping comment that Symbio are the cheapest supplier; they are not for us, they would cost well over 10% more!

Always consult a comparison site to find the best deal for you!

Unlike your past claims, most MSE readers do not consume 40,000 kWh per year of gas. About 12,000 kWh is now considered average.

I never indicated that I'd done comparisons for all 26m homes in the UK and was slightly tongue in cheek countering another sweeping statement that Symbio weren't the cheapest.  It obviously depends on consumption level; perhaps that's not so obvious to everyone?
Judging by the number of adverse comments about MSE CEC, perhaps the best advice is to consult a non-MSE comparison site to find the best deal; since you can't be sure to find the best if you're not looking at all deals.

    LOL

I never said you did comparisons for all 26m homes in the UK .
Perhaps if your comment about Symbio that " They're still the cheapest" was 'tongue in cheek ' you should have used an emoticon as it is not easy to understand your feelings when reading plain text.

Why have you  attempted to move the topic to the MSE Cheap Energy Club? I never mentioned them here and this thread is about feedback on Symbio Energy.

    Agree on the emoticons!
The advice to use a comparison site is very good advice. But just lately, there appear to be many threads complaining that CEC isn't showing supplier X or tariff Y. So there seems to be a problem with CEC's credibility as a "whole of market" comparison site.  In the meantime, if people use comparison sites that are genuinely covering the whole market, they'll get the best deal for them.
And if, as posted today, CEC is not showing Symbio, then people are definitely being prevented from accessing the wonderful world of Symbio cheapness - ;)!

I've applied to switch away, new tariff slightly cheaper and sick of the problems with Symbio, no response to this months complaint, after being promised that my February bill would be correct at end of January. It does concern me that they aren't taking DD taken from the outstanding balance on my bill, plus other billing issues just makes me feel uneasy. I have been with other small suppliers without any issues.

Has anyone been billed for the month of February? I am due to leave early on the 27th to green and have had nothing from symbio, btw I know they are useless but surely they can't be giving away free electric.

12th for me too. And yes they do give away free electricity but annoyingly they ignored my meter reading this month so I didn't get any free units.
If you're switching, they might be holding off on the normal bill in order to do a final bill - Zog did that this month on my gas account.

If you've told them your switching and they have acknowledged it they send a final bill after switch has taken place
