Got nectarines in Lidl today, tasteless and not very pleasant texture as well, won't be getting then again until well into the 'real' season for them.1

Were they "ripen at home"?0

Yes but they were already a little soft and not rock hard like the usual 'ripen at home' ones0

Ditto the non-ripening mangoes.duncanthedog said:Got nectarines in Lidl today, tasteless and not very pleasant texture as well, won't be getting then again until well into the 'real' season for them.No man is worth crawling on this earth.

Aldi have said today that they are limiting purchase of all items to 4 per customer. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Good to hear this. The shops have been super busy today. I was in tesco and the shelves were emptying fast.charlies_mum said:Aldi have said today that they are limiting purchase of all items to 4 per customer.0 -
Not true / as yet enforced. I saw someone buy two whole outers of long life milk this evening (24L I think).charlies_mum said:Aldi have said today that they are limiting purchase of all items to 4 per customer. No man is worth crawling on this earth.

No UHT milk here and occasional restriction notices going up but no set pattern. Bread and ordinary milk OK.

I made the mistake of going into Aldi for a couple of things this afternoon. It was much more chaotic than it had been during my previous weekday visit. Toilet Rolls and Canned Foods had been hardest hit, with other products limited elsewhere (such as cold remedies).
The cashier was saying that the queue at opening time was around the block, and they had queues on the tills for 2 hours before things calmed down a bit.3
