Aldi special buys for Thursday coming include 8 pack toilet rolls and 6 pack kitchen towels.
I wonder how long the queues will be at opening times ;)
Now there's an offer that's likely to be cancelled!
It was just published today so you never know.
They had toilet rolls in Aldi this morning, only one pack allowed per customer thank goodness.

Did anyone shop in Aldi today and did they have the special buy toilet rolls and kitchen towels?

Was in Aldi this morning and although I did not see any of the 6 pack special buy toilet rolls there were plenty of other ones, I managed to get an 8 pack of kitchen towels but only about half a dozen left of them.

Staff member outside the door limiting the number of people going inside but he was still a couple as only one trolley, there were 4 couples inside while I was there, one of each doing the shopping and the other one just wandering about blocking the aisles
  • You'd think by now, anyone that's been stupidly stockpiling bog roll has already got enough. I agree about extra people tagging along as well. One person shopping and the person with them just clogging up the aisle. Stay at home or stay in the car.

Maybe Aldi and Lidl should suspend the Specialbuys for now, and stock with essentials food items only? Might cut down on browsing and unnecessary time spent in the vicinity of others.

After all, my neighbours would kill me if I got a trumpet & there's really nothing I know what to do with possessed of a Mig Welder...

The baby & child stuff though, that really helps keep the noisier household members quieter. Ticklish.

I noticed that on the day that Lidl issued the last lot of special buys, most of them were listed with a tag saying 'out of stock or unavailable'.

Perhaps they will be suspended but a couple of weeks ago when these lists were probably made up things were still quite loose.

The Waitrose in Kent have introduced a limit of one person per family in their shops, which I think is great. It will also stop children running around infecting people.

We combined out daily walk with a visit to Sainsbury's this morning. They were only allowing one adult per household in at a time so DH waited outside. Maybe this will become standard .

Strangely though another couple in the queue (armed with granny trolley so obviously planning a biggish shop) heard the rules and just left. I thought that was odd.
