I find the bramwell's lidl tinned soup quite tasteless. Need to find some cheap tinned soup that tastes good.

Lidl's is much better, despite the re-branding. Its different but still palatable which is more than can be said for Aldi's version. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.0 -
Probably was Aldi. Don't shop there very often now having switched to Lidl so thought it was Lidl, but I did buy them a while ago.

Just had Newgate Cream of Tomato tinned - seemed excellent to me. I'd probably need a head-to-head test against Heinz to be able to tell the difference. (Apart from the price, of course).
I prefer the new Lidl (Newgate) minestrone cuppa soup to the old one, which I thought was too thin.0 -

I'll give them a go, nothing to lose!! I might have a look in the pound shops as you could get heinz tins for 50p, not sure whether they are still that price.

I was in Aldi Yarm this morning. Staff being told "fill the shelves with what we've got". So there were dozens of stacks of fresh pizza, but almost no fresh mince or burgers. Assistant said they have "loads" of missing items. I'm particularly partial to their fresh cauliflower cheese, £1.49, but not seen it in store for at least 2 weeks. Fresh food with a sell by date of today and tomorrow carried the 30% off stickers. My usual spend of £45 was £35.45 today.0

The Newgate soup range in Lidl is quite good, I particularly like the pea & ham, scotch broth, cream of chicken and lentil & bacon, one of which I will be having later today.0
