I’ve given up with Lidl electrical items quality has plummeted over the last couple of years.

That's annoying, my local Lidl did not get the electric grater in so they substituted it for a full size food processor :(
Made a special trip down this morning as well.

I have found the Silvercrest brand from Lidl very reliable and I will continue to use it until proven otherwise.

Stores open early on a Sunday in Scotland?

I would have been tempted to buy, except I have a brand new food processor that has never been used and I need to be decluttering rather than adding. I appreciate the grater takes up much less counter space though..

I would have thought a 3 year guarantee, rather than 1 year from other sources would be an incentive.

Rosa, they open at 8 on Sunday in Scotland and are allowed to open all day, unlike for those of us in England.

That’s why I bought electrical from them. My point is the quality of the items are not as good as before, pressure washer packed up and leaked everywhere after 3 uses, battery recharger literally blew up after 2 weeks,DAB radio just wouldn’t tune a radio station out of the box, cordless drill was fine for 3 months then would fully charge and last a few minutes before dying. Never a problem getting a refund if you have the receipt which is why I advised Duncan The Dog to keep his safe and not tucked under his water bowl

Always curious about the three year warranties Aldi and Lidl offer.  Seems very generous, but the last time I needed to use it, it meant posting the defective item back at quite some cost.

How do they approach things these days, once a year has passed? I’m guessing they’ll refund instore under a year, or is it just 6 months?

I've only had to get something refunded once in Lidl which was a pair of headphones that refused to charge.   So, I returned them about a week after buying and they refunded without a problem (there were none left for an exchange).

Other than that, I don't tend to find "middle of" electrical products that cheap (although I buy from eBay and AliExpress, so there's no real way to compete with that).   A friend bought the DAB radio the other week, and I wasn't that impressed with it.   IMV Smart speakers and good quality Bluetooth speakers are now the gold standard for sound quality in small/cheap devices, and this was nothing like that.

Lidl tools are very good quality and good value, though (although Parkside is a weird choice of brandname).

I bought a slow cooker from Aldi about 6 years ago and two uses later, it stopped working.

I felt embarrassed returning it as refund done was done at a normal checkout. Customers behind me were tutting and sighing as needed a manager to do the refund,

I'd like to match up with two garden chairs purchased previously at Lidl. They're advertised as being available on Thursday 15th April. Can anyone tell me if I have any chance of buying them if I shop late on Wednesday night or are they not for sale until Thursday?
Unfortunately I can't get there on Thursday morning. Thanks for any advice.
