Iza - I’m exactly the same with the number, I want to see the stones go down not just the lbs!

Cranky - sts is still great!

I have been really struggling the last two days with cravings and visiting the supermarket is a nightmare. They always say having sweets by the tills is bad for tempting kiddies, what about dieters? :rotfl:

Having DH on a diet with me is the only thing that has stopped me giving in so far. Last night I was reeling off my “I want a” list of food and he was saying hang in there. I can’t tell you how tempted I am to nip out to the bakers while he’s at work and have a quick snaffle - he need never know! I’m going to try and restrain myself :o

visiting the supermarket is a nightmare.

I was meant to go and pick some stuff up at lunch time yesterday and ended up putting it off because I knew that I couldn't be trusted to resist the temptation of all the sweet and crisp offers that are loaded near the tills!!

Best of luck with restraining yourself. Is there anything you can do to distract yourself while you wait for the craving to pass?

    Hello all,

I'm on day 2 of putting my food into MFP and it's going well. I made cupcakes yesterday to take to my friend today (and 4 for the HT as well) and so far I haven't "tested" any.

Izadora stick to spirits and diet mixers (I double up on the mixer so with a double gin I'd have it in a tall glass with 2 bottles of diet tonic water) and plan for what you think you might eat. Forewarned is forearmed and all that.

dandy-candy would the walk to the bakery and back result in making your snack calorie neutral? If not try and distract yourself. You've done so well so far.

I've been gardening at one friend's house, came home for lunch and now I'm off to visit the one I made cake for.

    Take care all of you

Thanks Iza and Cranky, I did manage to stop myself going to the bakery and DH got us a Shish kebab with salad and a very small portion of rice to give me a few carbs. I think I need to adjust my plan a bit so I’m allowed a small bit of rice now and again.

Good morning everybody .Ive not been on here much this week because I’ve not had a good week and somehow have managed to STS. I too made cupcakes for a charity event , they were gluten free as ordered and because I’m rarely able to indulge in cake I’m sad to say I succumbed !!! That’s not all went to a quiz evening and drank two sugary drinks and polished off the supper too.

I realise that I can’t do anything about it now and just need to get going again.Off to watch my team play rugby today so no beer and no chips for me ,will take my flask and a low calorie snack instead.

Well done all who have lost and let’s make this last week of the challenge a good one !

    Evening Everyone

A very quick post as I'm off to work shortly. I didn't post yesterday as I went to bed really early with a book as I was tired. I also ate rather too much chocolate!

Today I had an early morning walk. I was out just after 8 and did a three mile loop before DGD arrived. She and I made toffee this morning which I have succumbed to so not the best of days. I've already achieved my step target so the extra I do this evening will be an added bonus.

Lunch: Homemade chicken and mushroom soup
Dinner: Pork shoulder chop with cheesy vegetables (peas, beans, carrots and sweetcorn), tiny piece of jacket potato. Greek yoghurt with raspberries.
Treats: 4 pieces of dark chocolate. Rather to much of DGDs toffee.

I'll just set a target for -5 lbs, if that's ok- as I haven't got long!

    Evening Everyone

Another quiet day on here today. I've just been looking at my goals for last week and I've failed on all but the steps one!! Too many carbs, not enough vegetables. No wonder I've not lost anything. However, I am not giving in. I shall just keep trying.

DS asked me to work today to cover a planned staff absence so I was busy there. I walked a mile loop to get there rather than straight up the road and also went out to get some milk too so was already on 11,000 steps by the time I got home. I then went for a walk with DH who was collecting the latest memory cards from his wildlife cameras in the woods up the road. Tonight we think we are going to see the Anniversary Great Escape at the cinema so that will be more walking to and fro. I've already counted in my Honeycomb Magnum too!!: I had breakfast rather than lunch today with working - same number of meals just eaten at different times.

    Breakfast: Cheese and spinach omelette
Dinner: Salmon fillet with hollandaise sauce, peppers, peas and tiny piece of jacket potato
Treats: 6 squares of dark chocolate. Honeycomb Magnum.
