Meant to say also Cranky that I know you told us about your friend to help us realise that even the most well educated person has their own demons to bear but it also shows us what a good friend you are and an example to us all - I know I sometimes I get lost in my worries often around weight loss and I know there is so much more to living and helping others.

Thanks but it's a mutual support kind of thing too. My garden doesn't need much doing to it at the moment so doing my friend's garden is keeping me outside in the fresh air and sunlight. It also stops me sitting on my backside at home eating things that aren't good for me.

Speaking of which I'm going to a party this afternoon/evening. I will be eating the beige party food that's on offer - in the past I used to refuse everything but I was still fat so now I have a bit of everything when it's a social occasion. I'll have a couple of cans of cider with some diet pop in between. There goes any hope of a weight loss this week then :rotfl: I need to make some cakes to take with me too.

Me too dumpling but I thought I'd check to see what everybody else preferred. A new thread would be like drawing the line....

I quite like the idea of drawing a line and starting again as well :).

The eating hasn't been great at the moment but I'm not giving up :). I've plenty of healthy food in the house I just have to stop bringing in the carp as I live alone so no excuse for it. I had a stressy couple of days with electrics in the house this week and I've coped with it my usual way by eating

I dashed out for a hair appointment this morning so no breakfast other than a cup of tea. I met my sister for lunch and we had a all day breakfast, I'm hoping the poached eggs with it will offset the butter on the toast. Not sure about dinner yet I've pork or chicken if I want to cook and plenty of store cupboard items and veg to make a decision later

Enjoy your party Cranky and thank you for running the thread :)

Thank you so much to everyone here, especially Cranky for keeping track of us all, it really has been an invaluable help to know that there are people who understand just how hard it is.

My final week is a -1lb loss so I just about made my target :D

See you all on the new thread for the next challenge xx

  • Thanks to Cranky for running the challenge and everyone else who contributed.
Not a success as I'm the weight I was when I started, but not a surprise. 2 big birthday lunches last week with friends and a weekend away with the grandkids with lots to eat.
    On to the next challenge.
