  • Yeah well ... I gained 1 KG in the past week. :o The food was just too good the past few days (we were invited by friends and good god they CAN COOK). Anyway, up and onwards with the healthy eating and - hopefully - some weight loss this week!

  • Morning all
Just popping in to report that I have STS this week. Must try harder. I know why, I've done a bit of baking this week for others and have had to do some quality control :rotfl:

I kept myself ridiculously busy this weekend and filled the freezer with healthy dinners so that I've got no excuse for resorting to rubbish when I get home late during the week. It had the added bonus of me not ending up eating through boredom so I'm very happy with a -4lb loss again this week.

Best of luck to everyone for the final week of this challenge.

Good for you Izadora ,I was busy too all day yesterday scrubbing the patio and helping to clear out the gated shed .It does work to be busy as I managed a good day yesterday ,Saturday wasn’t too bad except for the large glass of wine at the rugger club !
Last week I was disappointed with myself only having lost 4lbs in 9 weeks but yesterday decided that if I hadn’t joined this challenge I’m sure I wouldn’t have lost the 4lbs and would probably have put on another 4lbs as well. So just like the proverbial tortoise I will plod on and hope to pick up a bit of speed in the next challenge , if not 4lbs is not to be sneezed at .
Have a good week everybody, after all the sun is shining and the temperature is rising .
My other half is inviting (forcing) me to go swimming now ,I’m looking forward to freshly made leek and potato soup on my return !

    Good afternoon all,

Thats's my thinking too MrsLottie, an overall loss is better than a gain no matter how small the loss. 4lbs is 8 blocks of butter gone from around your internal organs....

Izadora, I kept myself busy all weekend too. It's obviously the way forward as for the first time in ages I weigh less on a Monday morning than I did on Friday. As an added bonus downstairs is spotless as I cleaned it in a furniture moving kind of way yesterday rather than a quick once over with the hoover and some polish.

I went running this morning - I managed a full 25 minutes before my leg started to ache a bit. I walked the final 5 minutes just in case...it's a bit achey but as I'm not going again until Friday I reckon it will be ok. Foodwise I'm filling in MFP and it seems to be ok so hoping for a loss this week. I do like seeing my calorie allowance going up as I have my fitbit connected. I try not to eat any of my exercise calories though unless I've had a really busy day.

I'll leave updating the list until later in case anyone else posts.

    Take care all of you

    Morning Everyone,

I didn't get chance to post yesterday as I had a full day planned which was made even busier when DD texted to say could I update the design I'd done for her Save the Date cards with the date, so she could get them out as soon as possible. I tried to sort it in the half hour or so I'd got free (I was working morning and evening) but wasn't happy so got up at 5.30am this morning to try again. I'm off down to stay with her today till Thursday so it's another busy time. My train isn't till this afternoon but I've Pilates and a hair appointment this morning.

    Yesterdays meals
    Lunch: Prawn mayonnaise salad
Dinner: Chicken thigh with wilted spinach
Treats: 2 dark chocolate and orange biscuits, 4 squares dark chocolate
Late night snack when I got in from work - slice of ham rolled up with melted cheddar inside!!

    Todays meals
Lunch: Chicken salad to use up all my bits
Dinner: Not sure. Am meeting her in London after work so we'll probably go out somewhere in central London before catching the Tube back to hers.

Rose, have a lovely time at your daughter's. I'm slightly exhausted just looking at your to-do list!!

I managed run 1 of week 3 last night!! I was so slow that I barely overtook someone who was walking but I managed to keep going for the whole 3 minutes!! :D

I hope that all's okay with those who are MIA at the moment and you're just too busy to post.

Morning all, well I’ve been in bed for the last 36 hours with a yucky tummy bug, looking on the bright side I had nothing to eat yesterday so have lost a little weight! I’m down to 13st 9.8lbs a loss of 2.8lbs, so now I have to buckle down and lose some more. Still can’t face food at the moment so hopefully it won’t be too difficult. Only problem is my fibro has flared and my back is killing me as I’ve been lolling in bed instead of doing any exercise.
Met some more neighbours on Sunday evening and had a great time with them! Feeling better about moving here now.
Onwards and upwards (or downwards) to everybody.
    Luv K9zz x
  • Hi folks, Can I join you please? I have alot of weight to lose and it's something I have struggled with big time for the past few years. I am terrible at sticking to plans and have thought of joining a weight loss club to try and get some structure and focus but I know my personality that I would really not like having to stand in a queue to be weighed, be steered towards spending yet more money on the various additional products they sell etc.

So I am hoping that joining you guys might help me get focused. My initial goal for the next quarter would be to lose a stone and a half.
    Thanks for having me :)
