Hi Everyone,
A quick post before I go to work. I've fitted loads in today. I played tennis for an hour this morning then went for a five mile walk with a friend. I have been playing cards with friends this afternoon and have also got a load of chicken bones in the slow cooker ready for soup.
Lunch: Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon
Dinner: Chicken salad (pack up to eat at work)
Treats: Oat and raisin biscuit. Piece of pork with a pickled onion.
The film was good last night and so was the Magnum!

Morning everyone, I finally weighed in “officially” yesterday morning and weigh 13st 12.4lbs. Would like to get back down to 11st which is what I weighed when we got married 8 years ago.
Yesterday’s eating wasn’t too bad, had smoothie for breakfast, egg on toast for lunch, then spaghetti and chicken meatballs for dinner followed by a pack of Wotsits and no carb Bircher for dessert. Several milky coffees through the day. Calories came in at 1487 for the day according to MFP so I was quite pleased with that. DH has gone away for a couple of days with work so I’ll be only cooking for one. Still emptying boxes! It doesn’t make sense that we came from a 1 bedroomed flat with a garage to a 2 bedroomed house and yet we have less space!
Getting a bit stressed over money atm as we are on a key meter here until the power company will change it and the property is all electric! It’s costing us £6 a day for electric!!! I don’t have a job right now and not sure I’ll be able to find one to suit. I haven’t gone out to work since late 2015 when I damaged my back but I also have fibromyalgia and it’s flaring badly right now so in a lot of pain. Not sure I’m going to be much of an asset to any potential employer.
We’ve looked into changing the heating system here to oil but it’s going to cost circa £8000 to fit the new system! Sorry for ranting on but I’ve left all my friends behind and don’t have anyone to let off steam to.
Got to try to get the dogs out today but hip and back are excruciating atm!
Just wanted to say well done to Dandy Candy, that’s something I hope to work towards too!
Izadora, you are absolutely right and I hope I’m gradually getting my head into the right frame of mind!
Thanks for all your support, it means an awful lot!

K9zz you did well with your calories yesterday especially as you are in pain ,if I am in pain I usually think I should spoil myself to help me feel better .Hopefully it’s going to get a bit warmer this week so perhaps your electric consumption will not be so high . Keep your chin up and just do as much or as little as you can do each day til you feel a bit better .We are here to support and offer any help we can.
I am trying so hard to eat less and healthily but not getting anywhere very fast ,I’ve come to the conclusion that I should be very happy to move forward however slowly ,it’s got to be better than going backwards ! Roll on the better weather to cheer us all up .0 -
Evening Everyone.
Seems a bit quiet on here at the moment. I'm trying to post every day as it helps me keep on the straight and narrow.
The sun shone today so I was able to persuade DS to come and play tennis with me after Pilates. As usual he trounced me thoroughly but we both enjoyed ourselves and I he got me running around all over the court! He then came for lunch and we had a good old chat.
This afternoon my friend and I started Week Three of Couch to 5K and had a bit of a walk afterwards whilst we had a good chat.
Since then I've saved loads of money by transferring my BT broadband and landline to NowTV. I'm fed up with them not rewarding loyalty and charging the earth. I also followed up still not receiving the compensation for the wrong paint colour in my kitchen as although I've been told I'm being reimbursed the cheque and vouchers still haven't arrived.
Tonight I'm going to watch The Sewing Bee, but not sure what I will do till then.
Lunch: Homemade chicken and mushroom soup.
Dinner: Pork with cream and mushrooms, served with peppers and spinach.
Treats: 4 squares of dark chocolate.

It is very quiet - was it something I said?
Well done for getting to week 3. I started week 2 last night and, despite still being very slow, was quite proud of myself for keeping going for the whole 90 seconds.
K9zz - Well done for sticking to it yesterday. I find dieting hard enough when things are going well so managing when you've got so much else going on is impressive. And feel free to come and rant here whenever you need to.0 -

Hi all,
Thank you for the best wishes - I survived my first race and knee held up. I was slower than a snail but made it round without stopping.
I'm in such a munchy mood today but doing best to ignore it and drink water. I'm out tonight at a volunteer thing and I know they provide the most gorgeous traybakes at the event - I wish my body craved fruit & veg like it does traybakes:o0 -
Evening Everyone,
I finally received my cheque and vouchers from Dulux today to redo my kitchen so have booked the decorator. He is going to come as soon as he can as we are flexible and can have him at short notice. Now I need to find a true light grey Dulux colour that won't look blue or any other colour.
It's been absolutely glorious again today - up to 18C this afternoon! I've played tennis twice today. Once against DS who again annhilated me and once at Senior Tennis, where I was the youngest! I've also been trying to find a wedding venue for DD, which is nearer than the one she currently has found which is a six or seven hour drive from here!
Lunch: Scrambled eggs
Dinner: Scallops and prawns with garlic butter, 1/4 jacket potato and mixed peas, beans, sweetcorn and beans. Blueberries and raspberries with Greek yoghurt.
Treats: 4 squares of dark chocolate.

Evening All
I've decided to switch to weigh in on wednesdays as I'm hoping if I have a loss it will keep me motivated enough to get through the weekend!
Loss of -2lb for me this week (lets hope it stays off!)
Run 2 of week 4 for me this week, was surprised that I managed to run for 5 minutes (admittedly very slowly) but I feel quite chuffed.
B porridge, splash of milk, 1tsp maple syrup, raspberry
S banana
L veg sausage casserole and mushroom rice, grapes
D air fried chips and couple of eggs sweet corn, beetroot'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Evening all, just a quick one before I go to bed. Haven’t done much today but did meet another of the neighbours, lovely lady with two labradors.
I have pretty much stuck to my eating plan, kept going to the fridge to pick but stopped myself each time. Haven’t completely filled in my food diary but I know what I’ve eaten so I’ll finish it tomorrow.
Managed to empty most of the boxes filling the kitchen, pushed the last couple full of cookbooks under the breakfast bar for now until I get my bookshelves up. One other in the understairs cupboard which is full of spices, spice racks and cordless iron. DH back tomorrow night so hopefully he’ll put the racks and shelves up for me this weekend, then there’s just the remaining boxes in the spare room, don’t even know what’s in those! And just realised there’s two big boxes in here with me, become part of the furniture so I don’t notice them anymore, don’t know what’s in those either!!!
Anyway, I might not have been perfect today but fairly happy with my choices.
B. Peanut butter porridge
L. Scrambled eggs on slice of toast
D. Large plate of left over spag bol with lots of veggies in it, then cheated and had two slices of toast with jam for dessert! Tut-tut.
Love to all
K9zz0
