Good luck luck for tomorrow Munchin ! K9zz I think if I could get a new mind I would order a slim persons mind because they don’t seem to have a problem with eating the correct amount of healthy food .But then I might inherit some other kind of problem alongside so I think I will stick with me and keep trying to stay on track .Glad you’re feeling more at home now .
Glad you’ve managed to get back with your running again Cranky and Dumpling keep going .
  • Morning, hope you are all well.

Decided to start weighing in at the weekend instead of Monday morning - and am very pleased to report another loss of -1.5 lb. Very happy with that, not quite on target for what I had hoped for, but I'm still 3lb lighter than when I started this a few weeks ago. Would like to get down to about 10 stone 4, so only 1 stone 7lbs to go :rotfl: I will get there.

A quick post from me as I'm due at work in less than half an hour. It looks really horrible out too now, rainy and windy and cold. I still need the steps though so will walk. It is less than ten minutes away so not too bad.

It was my DGD day today. We've done all sorts - baking, painting, dancing (for an hour!), schoolwork and a visit to the library this morning and the coffee shop with my Mother this afternoon. I then walked her home so have done three quarters of my step target so far.

Lunch: Smoked salmon, prawns, avocado, spinach leaves and cherry tomatoes.
Dinner: Sole with half a very small jacket potato and cheesy mixed vegetables (peas, beans, sweetcorn and carrots.

No chocolate in the house so no chocolatey treats today but I did have a corner of the biscuits DGD baked.

    Enjoy your evening everyone.

I totally agree about having to be in the correct mindset to lose weight, which is why it never works for me to say 1st January or this Monday I'm going start a diet my brain has to be in the correct place and unfortunately it doesn't take much to change it back to old habits. I have all the theory to losing weight it's putting it into practice I have a problem with. During a asthma review I was once rather condescendingly asked by the nurse if I knew why I was overweight, she seemed surprised when I told her yes it was because I ate more than I burned off  if only it was that simple.

I think I've been fighting off some germs this week, yesterday I ran out of steam, I fell asleep watching TV 9pm last night and woke to drag myself to bed at 11pm and today got up to feed the cat at 7am then went back to bed and was woken at noon which is very unlike me. So other than popping round to see my nephew before he goes away I've haven't done much today.

    L - LO crustless quiche
D - steak, air fried chips, tomato and asparagus
S - chocolate cupcake made by my nephew whose a great baker unfortunately

  • Hi everyone

I've been meaning to post all week, but I have never quite managed it until now, and that's only because I'm up feeding my lb.

I am pleased to be able to report a -1.5lb loss (wi was Thurs this week)! So after two weeks of illness, ten days in Scotland, and about the same back at home, things seem to have settled down. Although it's not where I wanted to be by now, I'm still 4lb lighter than when I started, and I'm the lightest I've been since I got pregnant.

I did have a terrible start to the week with an ambulance to my house and then a trip to a&e with my lb on Sunday (all unnecessary as it turns out - stupid nhs111). Then on Monday I had a dental appointment and my jaw dislocated whilst I was in the chair!! A totally horrendous and frightening experience! Needless to say, I will be changing surgeries!

As far as dieting goes, I'm not doing very well at sticking to a plan at the moment. My oh comes home later today and then we're off to Scotland again, probably for a few weeks or more depending on how long I can manage before I want to come home again. We have just got accommodation up there (hence the previous trip to move in), so I'm splitting my time between two homes. I get the whole thing about finding moving stressful. Even though it's not a permanent move at the moment, it's tough as it's a long way from home and I barely know anyone up there. We're doing it so my lb gets more time with daddy. When I go back to work we will spend long weekends and school holidays up there. I'm in the middle of packing things to take to make it feel more like a second home and less like self catering holiday accommodation! Fortunately, I have more stuff than I need here, so apart from some furniture and appliances, we've been able to save on some things. It's actually helping me declutter my house, whilst saving some pennies too.

I'm going to take a stash of sewing supplies with me, and hope that will keep me busy and away from the biscuit jar. I've lots of projects in my head, but always have 101 other things to do at home. Up there, however, there are far fewer distractions, so aside from being a mummy, I should be able to crack on with some crafting.

Gosh, I may not check in often, but when I do it's an essay!! Hope I've not bored you all!

    Good morning all :hello:
Just popping on to record my meal plan and say well done to all you losers (in the nicest possible way). I have really enjoyed reading the comments on this thread and find myself nodding away in agreement to most of them.

    My menu today is :
b - boiled eggs and soldiers
    l - pasta salad
d - roast turkey dinner with all the trimmings (can't wait for this)
    s - fruit and yoghurt

Right, I am off to put my eggs on to boil. Hope you all have a great day xx
  • Good morning everyone

The last week was a bit hectic with vet appointments with a sick kittie, two evening meetings including dinner and stuff like that.... So completely forgot to post last week... So I'm reporting a total loss of 1 kg over the last two weeks, 600 g last week, 400 g this one.

I just figured out that, although I didn't lost more than 3.5 kg over the last weeks I'm on my lightest weight since at least Summer 2011...

dumpling I had a laugh about "you losers" :-) Why is there such a negative word for something positive? My Granny even has a worser word for when you lost weight, it sounds more like you lost some mental abilities :-)

Green, no wonder you don't really managed to pay attention to dieting after a week like this! HOpe things go uphill! And well done on still losing weight!
Could you try to meet some people in Scottland by joining a mother-toddler group or something?

Munchin, good luck with your race!

Izadora, I could never do low carb either... One of my coworkers only eats carb for breakfast and says she never feels hungry as she eats enough protein. But in her case it is eating tons of protein puddings and yoghurt over the days, so basically whenever she feels hungry. And I don't really like neither of it so I'd rather eat my spuds and pasta....

    Plan for today:
B bread with butter and honey
L leek and potato soup, bread
D spinach lasagne with quark instead of any greasy sauces
    S fruit, ice cream
E hour of swimming, weather permitted

    Have a lovely day everyone!

  • Morning.

Quick check in with a 1lb loss.

Been a bit naughty yesterday - sent my daughter for snacks as she had a friend for a sleepover, so I ate a bag of mini eggs. Only a small bag though ...
It’s my birthday on Tuesday so I don’t fancy my chances next week - there will be cake ...

    Good Afternoon Everyone,

I hope the fact it is quiet on here today means that everyone is having a great Sunday. I'm just grabbing a few minutes whilst the Sunday dinner is cooking ready for DS and family to come later this afternoon.

As usual. I've had a busy day. I was up early hoping to have a chat to my daughter before I went out but she wasn't available to talk so we had to make do with a quick text. So I did some cooking and washing and then went and played tennis for an hour and a half. My Mother then came for lunch and a chat. I've also been out for a walk/ run with my running friend. I had a walk first then met her and we did the third run of Couch to 5K of Week Two. Since I got back I've been prepping Sunday lunch and chatting to DH. I'm wondering whether to persuade him out to the cinema tonight or whether to find something to watch on TV whilst I do the ironing.

Lunch: Smoked salmon and cream cheese blinis with spinach, avocado, tomato and cucumber
Dinner: Roast pork with peas, beans, carrots and peppers. I've also done roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings so may succumb to one or the other of those.
Treats: Maybe a Magnum if we do go to the cinema

Hope you all enjoy your day.

    Good evening,

In answer to your question Rose Wood I've been cleaning and ironing. Not a great deal else achieved today but I should be fit enough for running in the morning. Running really helps keep my mood positive. I just wish I'd discovered that I could do it about 30 years ago :rotfl:

Take care all of you :)
