I will stress ever so slightly about our weekend away until we get there, but I am at least looking forward to it now. We've discussed it so I have a better idea of what to expect which is what I need.
I can definitely relate to that, I get incredibly stressed by uncertainty (But I'm not in any kind of way a control freak. No sir, not at all...), but I'm glad you're at least looking forward to it now.

Afternoon All
Loss of -2lb for me this week am fairly pleased although I suspect a gain next week
I am off today as it is dd Birthday and although she as school I like to be home when they come home from school on their birthdays, I have spent the day making her birthday cake, my intentions were to be good but I think I have eaten my body weight in Italian buttercream and we haven't even got to cake yet
Dd has requested takeaway pizza for dinner (which is her favourite) luckily I'm not a huge fan of pizza, I think I will have to write off the day and start a fresh tomorrow.
I did my first run of the second week of my c25k and I did struggle, my legs only just managed to drag me home after work yesterday. But I shall keep going even if it takes me all year :rotfl:.

Another busy day today for me. I had to miss Pilates this morning as I was giving a talk at work, but I still managed to meet my friends for coffee afterwards. I had a quick 20 minute walk before that but am still down 2,500 steps to reach my total. I shall either have to go for a walk round the block or jog round the sitting room to achieve it now!!
After coffee DH and I drove to a nearby town to collect some pictures we'd had framed. We took my Mother with us and she treated us to lunch. There wasn't a lot on the menu I wanted to eat but I shared a panini with her despite it being higher carb than I really would like. Once we'd got back I had an opticians appointment and this evening I've been making a card for DH's birthday next week. It's a cartoon about his latest hobby of wildlife photography, and I've just been painting it. I've got the Sewing Bee to look forwards to later so I had better start getting the rest of my steps in.
Lunch: Ham and cheese panini with a small portion of coleslaw and a couple of vegetable crisps.
Dinner: Cheese and spinach omelette with avocado, cherry tomatoes and cucumber.
Treats: 4 squares of dark chocolate. Coffee with cream.
Enjoy your evening everyone, and find something interesting to do that means you are not thinking about food! It usually works for me.

Well done on the running SIRENS. Like I said, don't kill yourself keeping up with the official schedule. I think I did week 3 three times before I felt brave enough to move on. You'll be surprised how quickly the fitness comes though. I really miss it when I can't go like this week. The sense of achievement afterwards feels great.
Buttercream.....ah yes.....well you have to check that it's ok if other people are going to eat it don't you? I've made fruit cakes for two of my friends. One wants marzipan and fondant on theirs - that's fine as I'm fairly resistant to marzipan and I don't like fondant. The other one wants fruit and nuts with a glaze like the one I made him at Christmas. Glace cherries should be allowed as one of your five a day, sigh :rotfl: I love them and I just know they won't all end up on the cake.0 -
Good morning all,
I have had a reasonable couple of days but a bit on the snacky side perhaps. Kept up the swimming and I'm about to go again in half an hour. I'm managing about 40 lengths four or so times a week. It's good for me and I mostly enjoy it but some days it feels like a bit of a chore.
Dumpling, like others on here, I'm a bit concerned about you. Sometimes life seems like a massive challenge and an impossible thing to get through. But looking after yourself is really important. It must be difficult for you to wash your hair if you are afraid of getting in the shower. Can your OH help out with this and be on hand to make the showering simpler? I know I feel much better when I'm clean and sweet smelling. Pampering yourself with a bit of body cream, a new hairstyle or a bit of make up can really help with feeling good. But please, please start with your medication. This will make you feel better and controlling even one aspect of life has a very uplifting effect. There is only one you, and you need to be top of the priorities list. You are worth it.
So, happy losing to everyone. I'd love to sit here and make positive comments to individuals but I'm running out of time. Keep going one and all. Look after yourselves. It's not just about the weight loss but cherishing ourselves mentally and physically.0 -
Morning everyone
I have just returned from being away, I had limited access to the internet and so have managed to catch up with all the posts this morning. I was thinking of everyone’s efforts whilst away and this helped me be mindful of excesses, so thank you all for that.
Cranky, can you please record a 4lb loss for me over the last 4 weeks. I am so very delighted as I would have been really happy to STS. I’ll weigh in on Fri to catch up. I am determined to hit my target by the end of March so need to really motor now. I have been reading Micheal Mosely’s new book Fast 800, this approach suits me and so I’m going to give it a go over the next two weeks.
Thanks x0 -
Good morning everyone :hello:
Thank you for the kind comments and concern about my 3am musings. Honestly, I feel a lot better now and I have managed to get washed and wash my hair as well so that feels so much better. I am taking my meds too so that will help a lot I am sure.
My diet has not been great however so now I will swerve the junk food and eat good healthy food. I spent nearly 2 hours flipping pancakes yesterday and I don't even like them! We have a few left over but I am sure the kids will hoover them up today. I have bought a slimming world magazine and a ww one so I can get inspired and try some new recipes.
My menu today looks like this:
b - porridge and a banana
l - jacket potato, salad and baked beans with a smidgeon of cheese
d - lentil soup
s - apples
I do not hold out any hope of a loss this week but I will feel a lot better being on track again. I think I may have found my mojo :rotfl:.0 -
Dumpling, I'm so pleased to hear that you're feeling a bit better now and taking your meds again.
Despite being completely incapable of running I've downloaded the couch to 5K app and am now just building myself up to starting doing it. It's the kind of thing that I'd normally talk about doing and then not bother but I told my mum that I'd do it as an incentive for her to carry on working hard on her rehab - she had a stroke last month and is having to learn to walk again - so that there's no chance I'll back out this time. I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to find time to do it but I'm sure I'll work it out somehow.
I'm also now really craving glace cherries and marzipan...0 -
Dumpling so glad you are back on track my mantra is - get back up,brush yourself down and start all over again ! I do it all the time and it does mean I move forward very slowly but I do try to not go backwards.
Izadora you have my respect ! I know I couldn’t do that - yet .But who knows in the future !0
