Hi all,
Hugs to all that need them!
Dumpling- I stopped smoking years ago and I think that was easier than losing weight. But you can just stop smoking, unfortunately the same cannot be said for eating.

Oh dear fit n freaky I really feel for you ! I suffer from emotional eating too and it’s a horrible , overwhelming feeling and has nothing to do with hunger. I had a bad day yesterday after a sleepless night of worrying about my daughters problems ! The problem is now solved but I am one small mars bar ,1 packet of French fries and 3 biscuits heavier !!! Last week was a lot of effort for me to lose1lb so lm sure I’ve not helped myself this week with that little lot . BUT I am not going to let it prevent me from moving on .Today for breakfast I have had a spoonful of baked beans on a slice of toast and two rashers of bacon and lunch will be h m leek and potato soup and an orange afterwards and tea will be a small portion of pasta bake and a yoghurt. Lovely sunshine here so have taken the dogs for a good walk and been shopping a couple of days earlier this week as the weather forecast for us is not too good for tomorrow .0

Another emotional eater over here:o and I get this panicky feeling while I'm stressing out then grab something sweet.
Feel really hungry today but just had a large bowl of soup with sourdough bread (all calorie counted) and I'm hoping the urge to eat the desk will pass0 -
Hello everyone :hello:
After a bit more sleep I feel much better and have had a pretty good day so far eating wise. I have just put a load of spuds in the oven for baked potatoes for dinner with beans and I will be having the hache steaks I didn't have yesterday. The kids are having sausages with theirs so the dogs are firmly glued to the kitchen in case one spontaneously leaps off the grill :rotfl:.
I hope the HT gets better soon Cranky and thank you for what you wrote this morning xx
I have just watched a programme about a 65 stone man and it was very sobering viewing. I watch programmes like that to try and keep me on the straight and narrow as I can identify with a lot of the difficulties these larger people face, but I was very glad to be able to get in the shower for the first time in months because of the weight I have already lost. It is definitely spurring me on to keep going and not let myself down again. Being so overweight has stripped me of my dignity in many ways and has made me a huge burden on my family and the NHS but I am of the opinion that it is never too late to try and turn things around so that is where I am at the moment.
My meals today are:
b/l - eggs on toast and fruit cocktail
d - jacket potato, baked beans and hache steaks
s - tangerine
I am studiously ignoring the pile of leftover pizza in the fridge as my teenagers will demolish it when they come home.

dumpling you're not a burden to anyone. Everyone has their own difficulties. I'm not agoraphobic but my son has seen witnessed my autistic meltdowns...... In my opinion it just makes the children more understanding and compassionate when it comes to other people's problems. We work on "coping strategies" a lot here as the HT has sensory issues. I made diet peanut butter brownies today and even though he likes ordinary brownies he just couldn't bring himself to taste these.
I can't cope with crowds. Think open day at junior school....walk into classroom, supposedly to look at HT's books and work...cop a look at all the other kids and parents....me after 2 minutes "OK, we're done now, lets go home". We don't go anywhere that's likely to be busy - all my Christmas shopping is done well before Christmas when the shops are packed.
Also, (and this probably applies to all of us emotional eaters) in the case of pizza it is sensible to just eat the thing that you are craving rather than 10 "diet things" after which you will then eat the thing that you wanted anyway but having consumed an extra 500 calories eating other things as a displacement activity. You live and learn......0 -
Evening All
Bit of a different day today as we had to go to a funeral. It was the best friend of my husband, they'd known each other over 50 years. I was really good at the Wake and didn't eat the sandwiches etc, just a couple of prawns and some salad and waited till we got back to cook something.
I had a 4 mile walk this morning with my son and he then came back home with me for lunch so step target was easily achieved.
Lunch: Homemade tomato soup. Feta cheese
Dinner: Chicken breast, broccoli in cheese sauce
Snacks: 4 squares of dark chocolate, prawns, carrot sticks, cucumber. 4 more squares of dark chocolate!

I’ll be happy with staying the same this week.
Food prep has gone out the window because of feeling so fragile yesterday. So lunch today was a sausage and bacon baguette and chips. Will have nothing more today though.
No food prep tonight as going out for dinner tomorrow so won’t eat lunch. Will try and be good when out too - going steakhouse so will avoid the chips and just eat the steak and salad. Celebrating my friend’s tribunal win so be rude not to.
Missing 2 of 3 gym sessions this week too.0 -
Weighed myself this morning, no loss after a week. At least it hasn't gone on. Have done 2 dance classes today, so my fitness level must be good.#77 Make 2019 in 2019 £164.04 / £2019

. Which I'm happy with after cake and Turkish delight this week. I'm another emotional eater and work's been a little stressful at times
. So food on the kitchen table hasn't helped. I have no willpower
B - porridge and fruit which was needed after spending 15 minutes trying to de-ice the car
L - LO steak and kidney with broccoli, mash carrot and swede
D - pulled pork wrap with salad

Good morning everyone,
I was very hungry when I woke up this morning so I have had branflakes and toast and marmalade for breakfast. I am still very full now though 5 hours later so I shall skip lunch I think. I am going to roast a chicken to make a pie which I will just eat the filling and leave the pastry. This isn't a hardship as I am not overkeen on the stuff anyway.
I have loads of veggies in the fridge so I will cook up the lot and then make bubble and squeak for tomorrow. I have shopping coming on Saturday so I like to clear the decks before it arrives. I could make soup as it is certainly the weather for it, hmmmm will have a little think.
Hope you are all having a great day xx0
