    Evening Everyone.

Had my usual Tuesday morning Pilates today, but preceded by doing the school run as DGD stayed the night. After Pilates and the obligatory coffee afterwards I went for a walk with my son before he came back with me for lunch. This afternoon DH and I went shopping and stocked up our very empty cupboards and freezer.

Lunch: Ham and cream cheese rolled up together with lettuce, cucumber and cherry tomatoes.
Dinner: Lamb steak, mushrooms and broccoli in a low carb cheese sauce.
Treats: 4 squares of dark chocolate. Probably a piece of Feta later.

That should be it for today as I've drunk up all the cream I allow myself for my coffees so will be on squash for the rest of the night. I shall probably knit a bit more of the doll I'm making - done the head, 2 legs and an arm so far.

Evening  some good weight losses this week :)

I'm currently resisting the urge to snack any further, I'm not hungry but the cold has that effect on me :o. I've a friend who when trying to lose weight goes to bed at 8pm so she can avoid temptation, she did the same when giving up smoking, some nights I understand why

My soup has turned out far too hot to enjoy and has irritated my stomach, I used a chilli stock pot when making it and after the initial nice taste it has too much of a kick and I usually like spicy food, even adding yogurt didn't help :(. I ate half a portion today before given up so was then led astray by a small piece of banana and walnut cake from a colleague's birthday and a couple of pieces of 'proper' Turkish delight sent over by our colleagues in Istanbul.

Dinner was LO lentil lasagna with green beans followed by a peach.

  • Evening all.

Bit of a bad couple of days. It was all going so well until the ex reared his ugly head. (He’s the father of my child so sadly can’t avoid contact)
    So yesterday went like this
    B- fruit and yoghurt
L- salad with chicken and sweet corn with a bit of extra light mayo and 2 boiled eggs
    D- lots of wine 🙁

Woke up this morning feeling lighter (weighed myself and yes I was but it doesn’t count if not on weigh in day). Hanging like a door off it’s hinges so today has gone like this.
    B- fruit and yogurt
L- bacon and mushroom cob (yes it is a cob 🤣), slice of tiffin from Costa
D- battered sausage and cheesy chips
Snack- after 8s (about half a box) 😱

SO. Start again tomorrow. Hope I’ve not done too much damage. 🤞🏻

Hi there, I am up in the middle of the night as I crashed and burned last night and ended up eating pizza and chips which has led to me not sleeping because of being so thirsty. I've got up and downed a pint of water but I will need at least another one before trying to get some more sleep. I am annoyed with myself for giving in to junk food but I will just carry on trying to eat healthily as much as I can.

I see I am not the only emotional eater and it is such a hard habit to break. I was trying to explain to my husband but he doesn't really get it. Honestly, packing in smoking was a lot easier. I was very very tired and worried about my youngest and just craved fat and carbs. I am pleased I didn't give in to my longing for chocolate as I would have been really disappointed in myself so that is one good thing. I am just aware that chocolate is a major trigger food for me, no judgement for anyone else's choices, maybe just a touch of envy :o.

    Good morning all,

I've lost the grand total of 0.5 lb this week. I only slept for 2 hours Sunday night so I was too tired to speak for most of yesterday, never mind type messages. On the plus side I behaved myself food wise instead of eating my way round the house which is my usual coping strategy for lack of sleep. I had my hair dyed yesterday morning (no food at hair dressers so safe), went food testing at lunchtime (had one bite of each of the pizza slices rather than eat the lot - to be fair some weren't that nice and yes, I was paid for doing it) then went food shopping. If I food shop on weigh day I tend to get myself a treat because it's weigh day and it doesn't matter. If I go the day before I don't bother.

No running this morning, grrr. The roads are horrendous again as we had snow overnight. There's accidents and a jack knifed lorry blocking the motorway which means all the diverted motorway traffic makes one big traffic jam past our estate instead. The HT is off school sick with a sore throat and cough so indoors it is. I will try doing some walking on the spot as it's past 10am and I've done less than a thousand steps.

Well done on your losses dandy-candy, monks and zafiro.

savesummore I hope you're feeling a bit better today.

dumpling I have a friend who is diabetic and he says he knows when his blood sugar is going up because he starts to get thirsty. At least you made a food choice instead of a major sugar choice if you know what I mean. Chocolate would have pushed your blood sugars up more and you'd have still been hungry. I'd say you're not the only emotional eater by a long shot. Chewing is also a comfort thing - it provides proprioceptive input to the jaw that is calming - I'm a bit further up the autistic spectrum than some people so I know this stuff. Do you have a cable needle? If I hold my cable needle in my teeth while I'm knitting (or even just reading) it stops me wanting to eat.

butterfly 2507 I've added you to our metric list without a target for this challenge. let me know if you want to change that at any point.

Take care all of you :)

Thanks, I've fixed them. I knew I'd forget something - the joy of being a nurse to a sick teenager :o

Thanks. He did go to school yesterday but today he's very croaky and a bit sorry for himself. He hasn't lost his appetite yet so I think he'll be OK :D I just like to get plenty of fluids in him when he gets something like this which doesn't happen if he goes to school.
