    Hi All

Had a busy day as I look after my eight year old grand daughter on Saturdays. She doesn't come till half nine so I had a walk before she arrived and then walked her home at four so already achieved my step target for today.

    Lunch: Spinach and cheese omelette
Dinner: Salmon with broccoli, peas, mushrooms, peppers and a spoonful of mayonnaise. Greek yoghurt with lime juice and a teaspoon of Xylitol to sweeten it.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend

  • Morning all, lost a stone last year, but put a bit back on over Xmas. Have lost 6 lbs since the start of the New Year, but for the purposes of this thread, my start date was Wed 23rd, weighing in at 15 st 10 lbs. Target is 7lbs to end March.

Not following a diet plan as such, but just eating healthily, although do need to cut down on portion sizes. I snack when I'm bored so trying to keep busy with crafting when I'm sat in front of the TV.

One tip, I eat less when sat at the dining table as you're mindful of what you're eating. Must get myself back into the habit of eating at a table only.

Good morning, thought I would check in and post my -4lb loss this week. I'm really pleased as the numbers on the scales started to go up at the beginning of the week . I have drunk a lot of water and been very careful of what I have eaten with having at least 6 portions of vegetables a day and it has paid off.

    My meals today are:
b - boiled eggs and soldiers
l - vegetable lasagne and salad
d - toad in the hole with cauli, broccoli, sprouts and carrots.
    s - fruit

I am not hungry anymore which is great and I am getting used to having smaller portions. I still think about food for most of the day but hopefully that will lessen as time goes by.
  • Hi well a 2lb loss for me I can't do red numbers either yet sorry. I think I have put it back on since Friday though but as you say we have the rest of the week to rectify it! Fingers crossed x

I spend an insane amount of time wondering if I am doing it right, sometimes I remind myself that I am doing my best....and that is enough

I'd like to join please. My goal is to lose 8lbs minimum by the end of March. My plan is to reduce portion size, avoid fried and fatty foods, cut down on alcohol by not drinking at home and not to eat or drink anything except water after 8pm. I have lost 10lbs since Jan 1st and exercise most days, either a 1 hour interval training session at the gym or a 3+mile walk, usually Nordic Walking.

    Hi all

I managed to get back on track this week and my weigh in yesterday was -1 lb :). I am pleased because it looks like I can lose weight for 3 weeks and then take a wobble round that time of the month. I think if I'm aware of it I can manage it.

    Good afternoon all,

Edina Typhoon and star trek fan, I'll add you to the list and welcome to our group.

dumpling, Doing it my way and Munchin well done on your losses.

I ate my own body weight in junk yesterday. No idea why....just one of those days. I've been much better so far today though. Some days are just easier than others I guess. I undid the crochet throw that I was making because one of the colours just didn't go with the others. I found a colour in the "stash" that goes perfectly but there's only one ball of it so I'll have to go to the wool shop tomorrow. The wrong colour can be used for trauma teddies. Knitting and crochet is supposed to stop me from eating. It surely didn't work yesterday!

Take care all of you :)

    Afternoon everyone.

It's going to be a struggle to achieve my step target today. I was going to go for a walk this morning but had to go over to Mum's to sort out her electrics. A fuse had tripped but as I'd already gone back to bed with a book I was running late and so only had time for a 20 minute walk. Mum usually comes for lunch on Sundays, then my son, daughter in law and grand daughter come for the evening meal so I seem to spend a lot of Sunday cooking. I can't persuade Mum to come in the evening and so end up cooking something nutritious for her at lunchtime and then a meal later. I've only done minced beef and onions with mash and vegetables rather than a roast dinner tonight though. Anyway, I'm only up to 9,000 steps so far and its not very appealing out. Hopefully, DGD will be allowed to stay and play for a bit and I shall then walk her home afterwards. We do that fairly often but not always, depending on whether she has homework still to do.

Lunch: Frittata with onions, garlic, red pepper, broccoli and mushrooms in it and topped with cheese and popped in the oven. Served with sweet potato fries. Mum also had Greek Yoghurt with mixed berries but I abstained.
Dinner: Minced beef and onions, with mashed potato, peas and carrots. I've also made a syrup sponge to serve with custard but I can resist that quite easily. (I did scrape the bowl though as I prefer my cake mixture raw to cooked!!)
Treat: 4 squares of dark chocolate
