Not sure what's going on with the text colour thingy, but typing this on my smartphone at half five in the morning doesn't help?!

    Evening

Couple of 'naughty' days for me, not my main meals but eating carp between the meals and a picky evening :( so line drawn under it and tomorrow is a new day, I've no real plans for the weekend outside of the house so the trick will be to leave the baking supplies alone as I've nothing sweet in the house to nibble on. On Sunday I'll menu plan for the week and cook soup for lunches

I worked from home today as I had a neighbour's funeral to go to in the middle of the day, as I had to leave at 12.00 I skipped breakfast and had scrambled eggs on a sandwich thin toasted for brunch and a toasted tea cake when I got home, Dinner was stir fry beef and noodles in a black bean sauce, I've enough ingredients to have that tomorrow as well. If I need it I've fruit to snack on later

Tomorrow the sewing machine is being put to good use, I can't sew and eat and it's more fun than housework. If this rain stops I might drag my sister on a walk :)

I have just watched a programme about a 65 stone man and it was very sobering viewing. I watch programmes like that to try and keep me on the straight and narrow as I can identify with a lot of the difficulties these larger people face, but I was very glad to be able to get in the shower for the first time in months because of the weight I have already lost. It is definitely spurring me on to keep going and not let myself down again. Being so overweight has stripped me of my dignity in many ways and has made me a huge burden on my family and the NHS but I am of the opinion that it is never too late to try and turn things around so that is where I am at the moment.
    .

I fell asleep before the end of that programme, did he get his surgery in the end?

I was on this thread for a while, I stopped when I got to a weight I was happy at and could reliably stay at. 3 months or so down the line, I'm still at my happy weight.

    Happy Friday everyone x

Another 1lb off this week, unfortunately it's mostly due to having an upset stomach last weekend, as I'd lost the pound between Friday and Monday.

I have been doing a little bit more exercise this week, such as walking up and down the stairs a few times in the evenings while the adverts are on, and going for a walk during my breaks at work. It's not much but every little helps, and hopefully I can increase it a bit more this coming week, as I've been so lazy since my DH passed away (after us being so fit and healthy before he became ill), and it is so hard getting out of the bad habits I've got into, but I know I have to as I have enough to be depressed about without my weight adding to it.

Unfortunately, a few weeks after filming, he died in his sleep due to a heart attack I think. Such a shame for him and his family.

    Hi everyone,

Please may I join in even though I'm a little late?

I would like to lose 14lbs and get a lot fitter. I feel like it's become harder since I hit my fifties and I'm not physically able to do what I did. I don't like fad diets and I can't stick to things like SW.

Today I'm signing up for a swim pass at my local pool, I've plugged in my Fitbit to charge as I've been ignoring it and I have the myfitnesspal app.

Last night I totally pigged out on crisps and peanuts and drank way too much alcohol. I can't believe I'm treating my body in such a cavalier fashion. I'll be heading for some serious illness if I don't turn things around.

My biggest downfalls are alcohol, big portions and cake! The first of these will be the most difficult to cut down on so have also got the drink aware app.

    My plan today is
Breakfast: spinach, avocado and fruit smoothie.
Lunch: homemade sweet potato and pepper soup
    Supper: homemade vegetable curry

    No alcohol today
    12000 steps
    Home yoga session
    Join swimming pool

Thank you for this thread. I think it will really help me.

    Slowdown:)

    Morning all

I’m thinking of getting new weighing scales today as mine aren’t the best. I’ve either lost 1, 2 or 3lbs so on a 2nd try I’ve lost -2lb:).

I’m heading out now for a run in the forest :).
  • Morning everyone! :j

Well done to everyone losing weight  Hugs to those who struggle currently

I will weigh myself on Monday. I'm a bit nervous to be honest, but then again I know how much I've tried - and changed - so even if I didn't lose much I still made some progress.

I've decided that Friday is (usually) the day to "eat everything I want". As for the other days: if I snack then just healthy stuff. Tonight is a handball game that we'll go and watch so no snacking at all for me :T

Hope everyone has a good day! :)

  • Stayed the same. I’ll take that after the amount of 💩 I’ve eaten this week.
    Back on the wagon.
Get meal prep done later - think it will involve lots of chicken 😆

Cranky I’m glad teen is feeling better.
I’m another one of the comfort eating club and my anxiety kicked in big time for the last few days resulting in a 3 day biscuit binge. I’m not looking forward to my weight in on Monday :(
Well done to all this weeks losers!
