    I would not mind all this carry on if these draconian measures actually stopped money laundering but judging by what is written in the news money laundering is still rife.
    The government and financial institutions are not capable of catching the criminals so they put silly guidelines which affect day to day banking for normal folk.

    How do you know "these draconian measures" don't work? Of course money laundering still goes on, but it might be much worse without the steps banks take to reduce it.
