Both my Barclays and Santander Accounts Are Under Review

How will I live? This is not fair at all. I’m so worried.0

Can anyone tell me will I still be able to withdraw my wages and benefits money while my accounts are under review?
For your Barclays account, you might be able to using your smartphone app. A couple of years ago Barclays 'froze' my newly opened account (my 'crime': for receiving £3k from my employer :rotfl:), however despite being locked out of their regulat internet banking, luckily I was able to transfer the 3k out to another account immediately using the Barclays iOS app....pheeeew! I really sympathize with you, i really do because IMHO Barclays' fraud detection systems are probably the most paranoid out of all the banks.0 -
I'm no expert in this field but, my understanding was that if you take evidence of any payments in to your account (pay slip, child benefit form(??)) that the bank should allow you to withdraw that money. How will I live? This is not fair at all. I’m so worried.
Can anyone more knowledgeable please confirm.Personal Responsibility - Sad but True

You haven’t at all received money for a friend?
Made any new account applications for credit recently?
These checks won’t happen without some reason to trigger it.
Hope you get it sorted0 -
This is what you should have an instant access savings account with some emergency money in case accounts get frozen.
You probably didn't expect for both your current accounts to be frozen at the same time though, I get that.0 -
Some good ol' cash in a cookie jar is much more appropriate for such situations. This is what you should have an instant access savings account with some emergency money in case accounts get frozen.

I don't think the bank can refuse you benefit money so so as they advised and take proof of ID and the benefit payment to the branch. You should be able to withdraw that money.0

Have you bought (or sold) anything online from abroad recently ?
As others have said something has triggered this.
Other problems reported on the forum recently were somebody who received a bank transfer from the US and somebody who sold a watch.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
