Something similar happened to me in Tenerife a couple of years ago but it was heavy lift doors that closed on me. Yes, it hurt and caused a bruise. My reaction was not to run to the hotel management but to be much more careful getting in and out of lifts ever since!

So, you only asked to see a doctor after you'd had your "friendly" chat with the hotel manager ? The day after the incident ? Strange, or is that just me ?

If you can't drink with Paracetamol and Ibuprofen cream, I'm doomed. I take Paracetamol every 4 hours, every day, I also sometimes take Codeine and Tramadol (not at the same time:) ) and still manage to enjoy a drink or three. Knee replacement surgery, major pain ! I feel the alcohol helps a little.
