injury while on holiday, automatic doors closed on me while passing through them.

A bruised arm has spoiled your holiday???
Seriously??
I would recommend you get treated for your more serious issue of hypochondria which is what really seems to be spoiling your holiday.
Enjoy the wine , smile, and have some fun.
Ps - I wouldn't recommend going skiing if a bruise causes you so much grief. Snow and ice EVERYWHERE and yet no warning signs! Ouch!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

You don't have to take the medication.
You have a bit of a sore arm, if it doesn't hurt don't take the medication, it's only paracetamol and ibuprofen for goodness sake. Use your own common sense.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
I can imagine the the small claim hearing
"M'lud I had such a sore arm I had to spend two hours typing with it on t'interweb to confirm how much compo I could get".
No chance they would counterclaim then.0 -

I am not the kind of person that would want anyone else to suffer a knock, I am a farily sturdy fit individual, if it gave me a nasty jolt , I am pretty sure a old frail person or a child would of felt it much worse than I.....I guess I am just too caring for my own good.
Are you saying these doors went haywire and slammed into your arm? You don't appear to be, you are saying they shut on you.
So, if you are a sturdy and fit individual as you say, you should have no trouble getting through automatic doors before they shut again, unless you tried to nip through as they were already closing and found yourself not fit enough to get through in time.
Or you're not a fit and sturdy individual and should take your wife with you to the buffet, regardless of losing your table, so to not ruin your holiday with a poorly arm.
Whats worse, losing your table, or poorly arm ruining your holiday?0 -
Thank you all for your replies.
The doors I assume malfunctioned, as they closed into my arms, giving me a nasty jolt.!!!!! Lifes wonderful !!!!!0 -
Still enjoying the holiday....on the forum again this morning.0

I have never seen a automatic door close so quickly/with such force that they could 'jolt' anyone.
As said earlier by someone in the known, there is a squash element, a bounce element. They don't slam.
But you have avoided the question as to the speed/force they shut...0 -

You're on holiday OP. Just sit down, relax and unwind. Do something to help take you mind off it. Put a movie on, I think Sliding Doors is showing out there at the moment......Oh wait.....0
