Jim Morrison's music is quite relaxing as well.powerful_Rogue wrote: »You're on holiday OP. Just sit down, relax and unwind. Do something to help take you mind off it. Put a movie on, I think Sliding Doors is showing out there at the moment......Oh wait.....0 -
I have have had ibuprofen in a gel form (guessing it's very similar to the cream) for when I sprained my shoulder. You can still drink, even with paracetamol. You will be fine, you're trying to get compo when it's not worth the time and effort. You're wasting your holiday trying to sort this out when it's not really an issue. The hotel have done what they can0

My good lady broke her thumb three days before we went to the Big Apple last year. Didn't stop us going and didn't stop us having a good time.
I'll get the popcorn for this one!0 -
How on earth did she hold her beer? I'd have cancelled the trip. No way could I enjoy boozing in New York with a broken thumb.Blackbeard_of_Perranporth wrote: »My good lady broke her thumb three days before we went to the Big Apple last year. Stop cutting your nose off to spite your face. You have a sore arm, not a broken neck. Just enjoy your holiday.0

I hope you immediately put up barriers around the door after the incident and then go the door inspected by a qualified engineer?
The OP is going to be even more worried now about any potential children and the elderly being seriously injured by your door!.0 -

People on this thread will response that the bottle of wine and apology is all that this is worth, of which I agree. However this clearly isn't sufficient for you so like others on this thread I'll ask you, what do you actually want from this?
I don't expect you to answer, no one ever does. I suspect it's a mix of not wanting to appear too greedy while also not claiming less than they feel they should. However it would be nice if someone answered this question.
At least you've remained polite throughout this topic. That's rare.0
