We go back to Vegas in October, and the rate is depressing.

But we had $1500 left over from the last trip...that along with 7 out of 11 nights comped still makes it worth going.
I can live with around $1.20ish for the amount we will still have to change.

Some of our early trips to the states were over $2 to the £....seems a long time ago now.

Looks like we will be visiting Ellis Island a little more than we might have expected, and having a beer or two at The Stage Door.:rotfl:

If we get to go back and the $ is rubbish, that would suit Mr Dontone down to the ground. Although we frequent McD's and food courts anyway, so it's no big deal.
Where is the Stage Door btw? Not heard of that one.
Is Casino Royale still doing the $1 bottles of beer too? He'll be happy if that is still going as well.
Easily pleased, is the hubster :D

Actually, no we haven't. We usually try the American fast food places like Wendy's and McD's as it's usually far superior to the muck we get here.
In-n-Out burger seems to have passed us by. I'll put it on the list ;)

Shopping is also a big part of myself & Mr Dontone's trip (not that he will admit it, but he always seems to do better than me). Can you still get away with putting one empty case into another case so you don't have to pay for an extra case going there?. I know people on here have mentioned it before. Do you still attempt it?

    Exactly the same here.
We still put a smaller case inside a bigger case but haven't tried in the last year

The Stage Door casino is a short walk down past The Cromwell on Flamingo Road...opposite side of the road from the bottom end of Ballys Hotel.
Looks a grubby little place from the outside...and to be honest it’s not a lot better inside, but you usually find an interesting person or two to have a crack with...and the beers usually start at $1-2 dollars a bottle.
Then just a short walk to Ellis Island for some cheap gambling and a steak special..who says Vegas can’t be done on the cheap.

Just had a look at my purchased Myvegas rewards.

There must have been a few changes since we used them last year.

I had purchased the $50 free play at 150,000 LP,s for both MGM Park and Luxor.Rules have always stated that you need to stay at least 2 nights in the property you are redeeming the reward for...that’s fine...but I have just read the t & c and it now says that offer cannot be combined with comped room stays.
We have definitely used the free play reward before when staying on a comped room basis.
So as both hotel stays are comped...except for one night, I guess I’ll have to cancel both freeplay rewards.

Shame really, as it’s the only reward we feel that is worthwhile...looks like it will be loads of free buffets again.:(

IN N out , if I remember correctly only use fresh burgers, thats why there was never many of them as the only base was in California and burgers had to be delivered daily from California

If you do go, google the secret menu before you go

TBH, we have never attempted it. But if we go next year, then there are some figures that we collect and some aren't available over here. So we were thinking of taking an extra case, but don't want to pay the rip off extra fees going there. I was just wondering if anybody on here still did it. (Cheeky, but needs must ;) )
We're willing to pay coming home obviously. Only problem is, like with the clothes, is trying to stop ourselves from getting too carried away. :rotfl:
