I still think that it is sheer greed. Plain and simple.
It's one thing to put the fees up, but to also charge $15 a day to park in the car park is nothing short of outrageous.
No wonder folk are put off by it.BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.
comping = nowt more thrillin' than winnin':T :j0 -
Last time we went the slots were incredibly tight - not a smell of a decent win in 9 days!
Is there an alternative though? Vegas is unlike any other city I have visited but the next trip will have to wait until we have saved up to pay for it (very MSE!) with the pound making it more expensive it might be a few years before we go again.0 -

We spent 14 days there in June, stayed in a 2 bedroom penthouse condo off strip and gambled at non strip casinos (mainly Suncoast and Sams Town - wow that place has upped its game)
The times we did go on strip were mainly for shows and the parking costs ($10 to park just to go book the tickets) will keep us away.
Also gambling revenue from are down to the fact that you get very little "play" these days. $100 in, virtually 0 wins.
I am happy to lose all my gambling budget - I consider it entertainment but non stop losing is no fun at all.
When we go back it will be off strip again either condo/house or poss Sams Town, we were very impressed there and decent play for your money.Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0 -

We had a night at Sams town this last trip (comped), I would stay there again0 -
Hey guys, after picking the brain of some more experienced folks.
Off to begas in 2 weeks and decided i wanted to hire a car for a few days to drive out to zion. We are staying in harrahs which is handy as i have five star with hertz and they rent from harrahs, so i can grab straight away. 2 questions
I have 600 ish points, i know this is not enough for a days hire, we are hiting a car in orlando after we leave vegas, will 1 day between hires give long enough for points to credit to hertz so i could mahbe get a cheper hire in orlando, or am i best trying to use the 600 off the vegas hire
Secondly i think being five star gives me a better choice of cars or an upgrade or something, is this only at the airport at the bigger car park /lots?
Cheerssaving for more holidays0 -
good luck with hertz.....
i am 5* with them, and even with 1231 points, it wasnt enough for a 1 day weekend hire....
hard to see, but the tiny small print allows a rental with the low points u see at the most remote places....
common places = double !
5* gives u a choice of cars in gold or 5* , or if your handy with the mouth, in PC or premuim
Mainly at the airport locations, HLE is different rules....0 -
Cheers matey. Will prob book both at once then👍saving for more holidays0
