At the moment GF (and/or DS) are not getting arrested for non payment of council tax - that is much further down the line than just having these bailiffs.

I know last time you paid off a bailiffs bill for them but I guess they haven't learned - please stick to your guns and do NOT pay this off. If GF (and DS) really have nothing then the bailiff cannot take goods and he cannot make them pay in full, if they are unable to agree a suitable repayment the debt will go back to the council to collect by other means - such as attachment to wages.

Stay firm Mooloo - not your circus, not your monkeys! DS and GF have four parents between them - you are only one quarter and you have given more than enough support. xx

Hi Mooloo. Just a quick note for the noise of the drums. Not sure if your GD already has them but you can get pads that sit on top of the drums and they help with the noise. Another thing is to put a pillow inside the big base drum which also helps. Good luck with the sewing x

    Hi Mooloo,

GF of DS sounds a right PITA! She clearly has not learned from previous events and I suspect will continue in this manner as long as someone is bailing her out and protecting her from the natural repercussions of her actions. I'm afraid that stepping back and not helping at this stage is probably the best course of (in)action in the long run.

I'm glad that GD is enjoying the drums and really hope that playing provides an outlet for her anger.frustration etc. Even better if you can find a way of damping down the noise!

I don't sew at all and really enjoy watching 'Sewing Bee' so I can understand how it might inspire people like you. Re-using remnants is good for the planet and will also be good for you if it makes some extra pennies.

It never ends does it? I can't remember if ds was living with her in the last house or if it was the previous address he left for a while . If he was living there then they're jointly liable as a household . Did Biggest give her permission to use her address? If not she must be rightly furious .
Was CTR being paid direct to them? They need bills on direct debit or direct payments to the landlord and council . Even if your son wasn't liable he needs to make it clear to her you can go to prison for not paying CT. You've done your best to get your son paying bills , it's a pity her family wont make some effort to advise her .

Stay strong - Not your circus , not your monkeys!

Enjoy your time with Mum .

I believe it was from when she lived there on her own, plus bailiff fees etc.
He paid his with an attachment of earnings.
No permission to use daughters address, and rather stupid as the same council know they are at the new address. Total incompetence with council. Biggest very unhappy and glad their carvwas not on the drive or it would have been clamped!

I had a conversation with a shop owner I know yesterday, I may be returning to upcycle Denim etc for feastival wear as she's very interested in it. She is starting to sell clothes from recycled saris and they are flying out the door.

I am beginning to feel excited about what I will be doing next, and after a lot of adapting peoples clothes I am considering offering a wardrobe revamp service. But I haven't worked out the details yet.

A lot of sari material is beautiful, I would love clothes made out of this! In fact, Mum did make me a lovely dress from sari material when I was about 11 years old, it was for my grandparents' golden wedding party :)

I have just been gifted a massive amount of fabric off cuts, cushion fronts, embroidery panels, cut out aprons and in finished peg bags!
Now do I finish them or do I try and adapt them into other things!! mmmm
That's my evenings accounted for for several months!

Do people actually buy aprons anymore?

Well I will keep busy, and see what I can do with it all.
I made £90 from selling the little purses and keyrings that we advertised on Facebook.
They were made from fabric donated to me.
And bonus is it's definitely keeping me from drinking wine in the evenings as I am sewing!!

There's a lot of people who bake, surely they must need aprons?

I bought a silk scarf made from recycled saris at a Christmas market in Bath last year. It was strips of different saris stitched together length ways.

This evening I up cycled a denim jacket. Had fun changing the collar, cuffs, and centre back panel and two front sections. But I didn't time muse. I also worked on an in finished bag that was in the donated to me stuff. Tomorrow I will look for something to line it to be able to finish it.

Wonder what I will rustle up tomorrow.
Maybe some of the aprons after all.
I have some lovely embroidered panels that were once destined to be cushions, but I am wondering if I could possibly turn them in to panels on a coat? There was also a lot of denim panels, so I am thinking hard about how to make them into clothes rather than cushions.
    But enough for Tonight.
