Morning went to plan, although DS did his lad ready for school and Dgd didn't go. Molly and I had about an hour, it was so good to see her out and about. We will plan to see each other more. Like my other friend on Sunday, just sharing an hour without children and other responsibilities was good for the soul.
The afternoon I had an hour and a half nap, then took Dgd to the walk in clinic. ( no pun intended). He said that she has soft tissue damage, not to weight baring, but to exercise her foot. So that's her back at home again. Let's hope by the end of half term she's sorted.
We had a panicky call from my Mum mid afternoon that they were sending her home. They tested her ability to climb 4 steps and then said she can go home, then asked why she hadn't had a stair lift installed yet!
Erm it doesn't happen over night.
So I am at my Mums. I went to collect her and bring her home, but couldn't leave her on her own she was too scared.
I will have to leave her on her own though as I have a solicitor appointment at lunchtime, Social visit mid afternoon and the children's care while DS works. I have planned to come back around midnight when DS gets back from work and sleep here for the rest of the week. Hopefully she will get more confidence back, and then I will be looking for what care she may need going forward.
I am definitely going to have to stop working for a while. I will just do the work I have already promised and then redirect them to others.
I am not supergran after all!

I believe that she probably has dyspraxia as her Mum and Aunty also do. I have said it for a long time. I will talk to the physio next week about it, and ask their opinion.

Ss, it is appalling that anyone, never mind a vulnerable older person, should be sent home at such short notice and without making that any necessary care is in place! I know that hospitals are for sick people but there has to be a better way than this :(

I'm sorry that all this means that you cannot work again and am very glad that you now have some money coming in to help. Also glad that you had a nice time with your friend - adult company is soooo good when your days are taken up with little ones!
    It's not difficult!

I have arranged for a stair lift to be installed Today. ( as it's nearly 1am already.
I was here last night and this morning the man came to measure up the stairs etc. Ordered the chair style and then arranged for a lift fitting at 10 in the morning. I went to see my Solicitor at midday, so I feel happier now and I will have a representative at court going forward.
I was back to bring my friends washing in for her, home for a sandwich then back to Mum. Made sure she was ok, collected her medicine from the pharmacy. Got the social to meet me here saved both of us some travel time. Did her meal then went home to take over the family.
DS car decided not to start again so he went to work in my car. When he got home at 12.30am then I came back to Mum. So I am staying the night, what's left of it. So I will be here for the fitters.
I am supposed to have another appointment at home at 11 so I am hoping that I can get them to come to me at Mums. Or will have to rearrange it.
I don't know if I will get near my sewing machine until Saturday!!
    Time to sleep now

How feasible is it for you to have a sewing machine (and overlocker) set up at your mums to do some of your easier sewing jobs? You would still be there for her but able to keep working.

Yes I did this two years ago.
I am hoping to leave her alone during the day for a while tomorrow and see how she copes.
I had the stair lift installed today.
I did her shopping and laid everything out for her for her tea to poppity Ping.
I will go back tonight but hopefully will come home tomorrow.

I cannot believe that you got the stair lift installed so quickly.

My brother researched while I was at the Hospital and made the initial call. They contacted me and I took the first available appointment and they knew that Mum was already home. Lovely family firm. They were busy tomorrow and Monday but we're free today. So we had the standard one they had in stock and we will be having the actual upgrade seat installed when it arrives in stock.
We will be invoiced when the second seat arrives. But meanwhile my Mum can now go up and down the stairs safely.
There is one thing about my family, if it's needed we find a way.

I believe in the ability to figure things out.
Sometimes I agree that I became overwhelmed. But do a mind map, write my diary, address the problem and I will figure it out.

    It usually is right.

I have been home for the evening, had several jobs arrived this evening. I have a lot to juggle with paperwork for the powers that be.
But I probably will be very part time at work for the rest of the year.
