Ss, I'm sorry that your mum is so poorly - especially coming at a time when your own health is less than good (((hugs))).It's not difficult!

I am on the mend but have a face full of cold sores. Very unpleasant.
Mum is improving but still on oxygen. The fluid on her legs is reducing and she's coughing up less fluid and coughing less in general.
DS's car broke down today so nothing went to plan.
I am so tired I am going to bed.
Pollyanna your very right about the shop.
I am going to sleepWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Hope you and your Mum continue to improve. x0

I am in bed.
I have been on the get go all day.
Mum has been diagnosed with bronchitis now. She's middling but doubt she will be home for a few days yet.
Had physio for Dgd this morning, first thing then I had my tablet review. Doctor said that I was one very strong lady when she asked me about the family etc and all that's happening at the moment.
My work is suffering as I just cannot find the time and or energy to do my work. I am hoping that I will break the cycle tomorrow and manage to organise and catch up.
My left arm is back to its old tricks, and coming back from the hospital via Aldi and Mums house I noticed that my left leg is joining in and complaining with saw muscles in my thigh and numbness in my toes. Then I had sciatica start about 30 minutes ago.
So rest rest and more rest then so I will be ready to face the world tomorrow. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I've had chronic bronchitis since childhood legacy of living then in the smoky North with factory chimneys and dirty smog in winter.
As you got the dr to mum quickly heavy duty abs should see her right in time. It's harder when older but she'll get the right treatment before returning home.
When speaking to your dr did you mention the pain you're in? I know you're busy but make sure you keep on top of your own health problems. my mum used to say An empty sack can't stand up and it's true.
When prepping food and doing various tasks a suitable height bar stool makes things less painful when sciatica strikes and also arthritis flares. I was loaned a perching stool by Occ Therapy years ago but the metal legs stuck out and I kept tripping over them. It was the only thing that helped with sciatica as chairs were too low. I could sort of rest aginst it when I needed to sit down.
Wolfy on my thread posted about bar stools . The one I have wasn't expensive and I can ease myself on to it and sit, worth a try.
Hope gds physio is helping.
I haven't been too good the last few days. Dd is in a steroid flare. I walked to the Drs yesterday to get a copy of all her meds dr prescribed last Friday. One important one is not in the bag or on the shorts forms. He's on holiday for 2 weeks and the locum has only seen dd once and mucked up the Zomorph dose when she did.
I'll have to go to town tomorrow and speak to the chief pharmacist. TBH the person who did the meds last Friday spent 30 mins trying to talk me into electronic scripts while an irate queue built up behind me. I think it likely she's lost one of the prescriptions or misplaced it.
Such joy. Can't see it happening but talking to the practice manager yesterday we thought it would be a good idea if large bags of meds had a printed list of everything dispensed. Just like a shop receipt.
I used to check through the bag at the counter but as the number have increased over the years and some of them are not to be in plain sight that's no longer a wise option. A few years ago I was followed to sbs by a very iffy man who'd been breathing down my neck at the pharmacy. Luckily I know all the staff and as he hovered near one of them pressed the button for security. I'd walked very fast to sbs , not so nippy now.
I hope you,mum and gd will soon feel better. I know work is important but please don't push yourself too much while you're not well.
Sleep tight all

Some of the younger staff seem more intent on selling services than doing their job properly beanie. I'm bloomin' furious which doesn't happen often. I can do without the trip to town and having to leave dd when she's really unwell.
Things aren't improved by some news reports today not yet on msm. You may have heard living north of the border, another magic money tree. Pity we don't all have one of those!
Hope you're ok.

I've been reading on the internet about a product Poundland are selling, for £1. It is Masterplast Freeze Gel. It states on the tub that it's ideal for muscles, but people are stating that it's good for their arthritis and sciatica.
(I think I read not to be used by pregnant ladies, incase anybody else decides to try it)0 -
Ss, I'm sorry that you are in so much pain
I know how much energy that takes, leaving little for everything else. Please look after yourself as much as you can. As Polly says, you cannot give to other people if you are empty yourself.
Polly, the faff with the prescriptions sounds very aggravating. Yes, some people find electronic prescriptions work well for them, but the 'hard sell' sounds very inappropriate. Your poor daughter is clearly going through a very bad phase too
Lloyds online deal with my prescriptions. I fill in an online form telling them when my meds are due and they arrive in the post. TBH, I was worried about entrusting Royal Mail with my meds but I haven't had any problems at all. When we went away, I was able to order my meds in advance to be waiting for me when we got home. However, I don't think it would work so well if I wasn't at home so much. It's not difficult!
