I'm glad the spasms have finally eased beanie. Let's hope they stay away for a while and you can manage to get out and about a bit.

I've has a swift reply to my esa question from someone who knows and it's looking as though they've assessed dd on paper from the recent form and previous records. It's not long ago I was saying they should go back to paper based on long term conditions and medical evidence.
I reckon those lavender candles are pretty powerful along with the good wishes of this thread.
It will be boots and brollies tomorrow looking at the forecast.

Pollyanna, I am very glad that your daughter's ESA has been reassessed without the need for a face2face appointment.

It's a huge relief hb2 lets hope it becomes common for long term conditions . DDs face lit up when I told her and the relief was obvious . Both PIP and ESA sorted in the last few months so hopefully some peace for a while.

    Hope you're ok beanie.

Sending get well vibes to SS and her dear mum.

It's been a very long day but I managed to part 2 my thread while sitting on a bench in town while dd explained cut and paste and a link to the original thread.while the sun came out for a while.
We were being buzzed by a very angry wasp so it was "interesting"
DD has a wasp phobia having been attacked as a 4 year old by a swarm. Back then her hair was both red and very curley and she had a lot of wasps caught in the curls and was screaming we can both still summon up that day. Her hairs been through many colours during her hair stylist training. Her aim was to specialse in colour.

Sadly the physical health diagnoses stopped that in her third year. She went though the long growing out the colour process and I had my lovely redhead back , she's never dyed it since but has managed to grow it straight without chemical inervention but it still has a wave when she hasn't the energy to style it.

Anyway we realised todays wasp was buzzing in and out of my yellow and orange sbs bag for life attracted to the colour alternating with flying in our faces and round our heads so I shifted the bag to the end of the bench. I had to search the bag before moving on to make sure we didn't arrive home with a house guest.

    Good night all, sleep well

My health was not good this week, I have struggled. My Mum is worse and I got the doctor out to her when I went to see her today. She's currently in A&E The doctor that came out sent her. Biggest had to take over for me as I had to be home for the family.
Mum has been there 6 hours now.
She's had oxygen, ECG, antibiotics, bloods and now an X-RAY. Going to be a long night for all concerned.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

  • I hope you soon feel better SS. Mum is in the best place at the moment as she lives alone. They should sort the problem and once stable she will be home soon.

You're having a perfect storm at the moment so although you've much to do try to find some time to rest and recover yourself. It's important to aim for full recovery to avoid falling prey to the viruses and other bugs so many seem to have at the moment.

Not sure if you're using the electric blanket or heated pad but it could help you sleep. I've been taking a hot chocolate to bed the last couple of nights and it is helping me relax and nod off.

Tomorrow is Winter Bedding day in this house, cotton sheets can go away until next spring.
Just need the energy to change the beds.

Been at the hospital since 2am
Mum only just got a bed on a ward at 6.15 this morning. I took over waiting from Biggest as she needed to go home and sleep.
I have just come home now she is as settled as can be, and will go back around 11 after the doctor has been.
    Night/morning!

Been sat here waiting for Mum to be moved to a different ward. They told us at 12 she would be moved. But at the moment she is at least eating some soup and had some Jelly.
I am tired as I have only had a couple of hours sleep.
I shall sleep well tonight once I know where they move her too etc.

I'm afraid the pressures on hospital beds mean a lot of waiting for beds in the right wards. It's a good sign she's managing to eat and drink let's hope things get sorted and she's soon home again.

It was lucky in a way you gave up the shop when you did. Imagine trying to juggle that with the other demands in your day and then mum in hospital too.

I hope you manage to get your feet up at some point and remember to eat too.
