Sewing is Me. It's what I do . But so is caring for my family.
I will need to think about what aspects of my life are controllable and what are not.
Maybe it will only have to be for a few weeks while I get Mum sorted, finish dancing to the socials tune, and can make my own decisions again without judge and jury looking over my shoulder.
But I have to admit no matter how much I try to organise something else takes presidency and I am left juggling and that is what causes the stress.
I need to keep calm, positive and be as organised as I can to do it all.

Currently I am ticking along just above the empty line. It's not good for the engine. My body being the engine. If I get engine failure then the rest of my life will collapse around my ears.
I have to prevent that happening.

Sewing for deadlines and customers may bring in funds, but if I am stressed about it it defeats the purpose of sewing for therapy.
The ability to go to the workshop and be creative when the opportunity arises would probably do me more good than struggling to do alterations etc. Although I understand that I help others feel good etc when their clothes fit, but I have to start with me.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

I hope you are able to find a way of sewing as and when you can, and still bringing in some money, without the pressure of having to work to a schedule.

Yesterday was a Black Dog Day, I was very depressed and down. I struggled through the day and sat with tears rolling down my face for no real reason.
I went to bed with two tramadol and my antidepressant, fenbid gel rubbed into my left arm from shoulder to pinky finger.
I listened to a Hypnosis tape, well fell asleep to it.
The kids were awake at 5am!
I managed to work from 11am as various meetings were cancelled.
Biggests hubby came round with the kids, he made lunch for us all, and he put up a rail for me in my workshop and my new to me CD radio so I can listen to music while I work. I managed to work quiet well, and started on the larger jobs I had. One customers anyway.
Shortened 4 sets of curtains, and joined two sets together, I have one set to shorten left and two pairs of trousers hems to still do for the same person. But I only have my Mum to visit tomorrow so hopefully I will get time. I think the children will be with their Dad most of the day tomorrow.

I sat infront of my SAD lamp this morning before I started work, and I will build that into my routine every day now.
I have turned work away, and I have offered to send work to other seamstress if people need things in a hurry.
I have come to bed, tablets taken, I will repeat the fenbid and Hypnosis stuff and get some sleep now.
Tomorrow is another day and hopefully I can tame the black Dog somewhat.
I hope that I can finish the jobs that I have in and then take a break.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

Ss, I'm sorry that the Black Dog was in residence yesterday, really hope that the SAD light helps. This is the first year that I have used one (I borrowed one some time ago but have realised that I didn't use it properly) and it is early days - so I have my fingers crossed for both of us!

I used the lamp this morning, I went out to the cabin again, finished the job I wanted too, went to Deliver another job, went on to see Mum, popped into her doctors and asked for a home visit as I am worried about her back.
I did her shopping and shared a cuppa and lunch before coming back home, and I continued to sew. I have finished two other customers jobs. So in the two days I have seen just less than £300 worth of work.
DS took the kids out for the day, although DGD has been in her room in her clothes horse den. With Xbox and Netflix!
I am about to go to my room and get comfy pjs on and read.
I have my medical tomorrow, that will be interesting.
My arm is not good so I may not pass it.

I'm ok thank you beanie. Just had a lot on over the last few weeks and todays news of the election means a lot more to come! Hope you're plodding on. The prices of sad lamps vary a great deal, some of the cheaper ones are fine. Think Ss has an expensive one so no doubt she'll be along to tell you when she gets a moment to breathe.

Hope to catch up tomorrow I'm way behind. Thoughts with Ss and her mum and any who need them.
